Graphic Novel Update (5/27/23)

Hello, and happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I wanted to provide my patrons with a novel update. Above is a preview of the first page of chapter 2! In this chapter, I start with the 2nd half of the prologue then jump back to Raina. I'm very excited for the rest of the prologue, as it helps flesh out my world. I get to draw a lot of Nevma's history. I'm eager to share it with y'all!

That said, I hope everyone who has bought a copy of chapter 1 has enjoyed their book. Again, I am EXTREMEL...

Lt. Jacob Clarke is only a little attached to his mech... I thought this would be fitting for his character. After all, he and his machine been through a lot together.

Silver Knight Squadron (Updated)

I updated my Silver Knight character cards. Wanted to polish these. I've also added Brien Ingolf to the Squad cards. Just fyi for those who haven't gone back and dug through my old posts, Brien is Raina's sister. She served on the Silver Knight Squad with Raina for 6 years before she passed. Since she was around for so long and plays a key role in my actual novel, she'll continue to pop up.

I'll have Levin's card back up later. He's not the only Oasian, so I will be having his card toge...

Here's the concept art for this Oasian weapon: a shoulder grenade launcher. It's beefy and easy to reload. Have not thought up the official name of it yet. Though I really want to name it "Chonky Ka-Boom"...

Sticker Set 1 Preview

"He's Behind Me, Isn't He?" Oasi Bit

The drill sergeant in this meme looked too much like Lt. Clarke. So it had to be done.

Just fyi, I don't have a Nevmian sergeant character in my bits due to the way knight squadrons are structured. Our main characters make up an elite branch of their squadron known as the "squadron head" which is directly overseen by the whole squadron's first lieutenant (1LT Clarke). "Touch" Exclusive Patron Comic

This exclusive 7 panel comic is done in the style of my novel. However, it is in B&W which I reserve for some flashbacks in the book. The heaviness of the inking gives it the right feel.

Despite my fun bits, Oasi's Fallen is a serious novel. It has some humor throughout, but the majority showcases war and the toll it takes on humanity.

"Konner's Bad Habit" Oasi Bit

Hell yeah, you get two bits this week!

I recently watched "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" and absolutely needed to pull a meme off this movie. It slayed me quite a few times.

It's fitting 'cuz if I had to pick someone that reflected Konner's personality, Pedro's performance would come very close. (ON THE CONTRARY, RAINA IS NOTHING LIKE NICOLAS CAGE! lol. But dang his facial expression was useful!!)

Graphic Novel Pg 26 Panel Process (3/18/23)

I wanted to share another panel process, as I haven't done one for a while. This was a nice shot from page 26.

You can see how pages take me a while as they each have anywhere from 3 - 10 panels I must color and paint. But I do love it. Each panel is important and I take my time doing this process with every one of them.

Graphic Novel Update (3/11/23)

1st sketch is from page 27 (ready to be lined). This will be one of my favorite shots from the whole chapter. Even in the sketched form, I'm obsessed. Action panoramas are the bombdiggity.

"Sleep Talk" Oasi Bit

Graphic Novel Update (2/26/23)

1st pic is a snippet of page 25 (minus dialogue). The last half of this chapter is FILLED with explosions, which I absolutely love drawing. Chaos is very satisfying to paint and I can go crazy with lighting!

2nd pic is from page 26 - it's ready to be lined, which I will be doing today. Hopefully the fun of drawing explosions will help detract from the sadness of the next couple pages. Or I may just be a hot mess of tears and concent...
