1. I just ordered a milkshake even though it’s late and I have no business ordering a milkshake.

2. Tomorrow we are having a gathering of 7 babes at Eden’s place for some silly coven fun. The rules allow it, and local numbers are way down and we are EXCITED! I can’t wait to hug those lovelies and get a bit wild.

Goodmorning World 🌿

I’ve been in the forest this week, communing with the owls, snakes, mosquitos and deer. I needed to scrub the city from my mind, jump in the lake, steer the canoe, watch sunfish as we soak up some rays. I’m alone with the kids, I always have another adult with me when we camp, being off the grid is a lot of work. But I’m trying to learn how to do all of the regular things on my own. And I’m doing it. We’re doing it! It’s been a really nice break from lockdown life at home.

A Happy Update

In unbelievable developments I was mentioning offhand to Max that I needed to make time to bring the kids to visit my grandparents. They live close to her place up north, and it’s a bit of a drive, she immediately invited us to visit and stay with her.

I was surprised, she’s not a “kid person”, and our relationship never had any of these family-crossover expectations. Not for a second. But the lockdown has changed that, they’ve gotten to know each other, she’s been invited ...

8 Great Things

1. Congratulations to Katharine, the winner of this weeks prize. Another slut mug is headed across the globe!

2. Today is the first day in 9 days without a wild heat warning. My gardens can breathe and my forest fairy soul is no longer parched. The rain has been a revelation and I have been running around in it in bare feet. (The footprints are photo evidence.)

3. Intervention life with my husband continues to be challenging but I have continued to be brave and make good headway....
