Work shot with Freya on our first trip together, NYC in July. These were a mix of the weird lights I pick up at holiday clearance sales and the blacklight stuff I started doing this year. Freya had the neat idea to put the blacklight paint material on objects, i.e. a fake plant in the Air BNB.

Bradley is the sole person I've shot on a recurring basis since moving to LA, and this is material from our second shoot at her apartment. She is very much a creative director of her own shoots and had everything set up in her room for an ethereal, color coordinated set. Pt. 2 is in the $20+ tier.

Kailee had wanted to shoot fashion nudes and on the same day she suggested it, I was offered use of a Phoenix recording studio to shoot in. Sadly the studio went under last month, nothing to do with our shoot at all, but we did have a lot of fun in this kinda weird space unlike any I'd been in before.

I brought one of my newer friends Freya to Arizona for a final set of work there as we had tickets to see The Killers in Phoenix, then roadtripped through New Mexico. One of the last things shot in my apartment of 2 years where I did a lot of these simple surreal multi-exposure things.

There were these volcanic fields in New Mexico that Maria, Freya and I stopped at on the way towards White Sands. We shot there twice (on the way and on the way back) and Maria really was into the googly eye bit from Everything Everywhere All At Once (which I ironically saw w Freya in NYC. Freya is behind me when I was taking these). It’s medium format, not sure if I prefer the color or black and white so presenting both here!

Sept was so geared towards moving and starting my fulltime teaching job that I basically couldn’t do anything else. Reese was a traveling model who I shot at a goth store called Eternal Noir in early 2019. She was into yogi stuff but since we had access to the material in the store we shot this kinda dark fashion fetish stuff. Another weird fit, like the Alysha Nett material. Alysha Nett is/ was a fairly popular model in the Tumblr days and for all I know still is. It's funny to look back and see how I tried to "level up" by working with people based on their audience - Mosh, Ulorin Vex were all this weekend as I recall. In early September 2021 my old house had a makeover, and a bunch of leftover things of mine were placed on a shelf in my old office. I randomly plucked a book off it and was amazed to find sorta scrapbook concept I had with Alina where I shot some of these Polaroids and taped them in the book. It's been lost for 3 years. Also included with those images are ones with McKenzie Eckels shot the same weekend in 2018.

These were taken with Maggie in 2018 during my first trip to Seaside/ Astoria Oregon. Cheyanne and I tried to go to the same place to shoot but it rained so heavily we took a few indoor photos and got out of there quick. The many trips with Maggie to Oregon, but particularly our Jan 2021 one, cemented in her mind that this was a place she wanted to live as an adult.

From a month back in San Diego, Cheyanne's first time there. It was just 2 days but a really nice break from the Arizona heat and since it was more spontaneous and burden-free than all our previous trips we questioned whether it actually happened or was some kind of dream sequence after we came home. Kailee pretty much comes up with all the concepts we shoot, top to bottom styling/ location/ etc. and it's interesting how much they reflect her personality over the 2+ years we've been shooting. This cat, the gloves, housework have all made appearances in our previous shoots but they always kinda come together slightly differently.
