A plague is spreading across the Sword Coast. Some sort of fungal infection that seems to send animals wild, destroys crops, and causes humanoids to repeat the name Xanthoria over and over until they die. Whatever this is, it is clearly magical in origin. Can your party find the source of this plague before all of the Sword Coast is lost?

The avowed of Candlekeep have learned of the possible location of a one of the lost Nether Scrolls. A work of the ancient Netherese that is said to bestow great power upon any who study it's writing. There have been attempts in the past to retrieve it; all have failed. Now, they hope that your party will travel into the desert to retrieve the scroll and bring it to Candlekeep where it can be safely stored less it one day falls into the wrong hands.

Someone has managed to steal from the great library of Candlekeep. The grandmaster sages will not allow this to go unpunished. The integrity of the library must be kept intact. To this extent, they have put out an 8000 gold piece reward for the return of the stolen pages, by any means necessary.

Within Candlekeep there is a book that no avowed has ever been able to open. Eventually they gave up trying and tossed it on a shelf that seemed good enough. There it sat, waiting until someone of great skill and courage came by.
This is a pretty straightforward adventure. There is no real mystery here, and a promise of a wish is an extremely powerful motivator for any group.
The biggest issue is that the final fight won't be much of anything for a party larger than about 4 people...

A good book can be a gateway to another world. A place to lose yourself in adventure and fantasy, and maybe, if you're lucky, learn a thing or two as well. All you have to do is turn the page.

As with all of these maps, the storybook versions of the maps will line up with the dynamic lighting lines in roll20 if you'd like to use those.
