Today I met with the Ogasawara Tourism Office in the city and discussed my upcoming trip. It seems I would need more time to film than just my planned 5 days. The obon tourist season (Mid August) is coming up and the island fills up so it would be harder to get interviews and book diving trips so I will make a side trip in August to shoot another episode and go to Ogasawara in early September. It's also a UNESCO World Heritage site (the whole island) and I need to get some permits for drone shot...

Over the last 6 months, some of us have gotten to know Gretchen from the live streams. She watches them from the hospital and she says it makes her happy. Her dream is to come visit Japan and she feels closer to it through the show. She just got out of surgery today, a device installed into her arm to help regulate her kidney / body. Hey everyone! John here :) I wanted to do a little page housekeeping update.
1) Patreon UK VAT tax and VPN messages.
I wrote to Patreon about this and I will attach Nick's (Patreon support desk) reply at the bottom. I'm not sure what it all means but it may be helpful to some affected that haven't gotten a reply yet.
2) Declined payments. We had a record number of declined payments and Patreon says it is due to Stripe, the company they use for charging, declining cards.

Just a quick update - we were supposed to be home by now but instead we’re still here in Bali. The volcano eruption is ire but the delays and cancellations rippled for a few days and impacted our flight by 22 hours, so we had to stay here again. <br>I might try a live stream from here in a couple of hours to check in and assay hi since the honeymoon is essentially over :) — and what a trip it was!
