This is the poster that comes folded up inside the sleeve of the new album. On it there are the names of every single patron I've ever had up until the album went into physical production (newbies--I wish I could go back and include you, too!). I read every name. Hello! I made you a thing and I'm so excited to tell you about it!

I was inspired to cover this song a few weeks ago thanks to my 5 year old niece! My sister Emi and I were singing to our sister Misa's new baby, when her older sister suggested we all sing "You Are My Sunshine". Singing this song with my sister and our niece to our sister's new baby was one of the sweetest moments and since then I knew I had to cover it. Oh my goooodness. The album is finally nearly done!!! And you know what that means? I finally get to start collecting your names to be printed on it!!

The last 5 days have been such a strange and lovely blur.
Last week I was finishing up producing and mixing "Birdsong" (the next song on the album). It was a labor of love. Excitement and confusion and total loss of direction and many moments of nearly losing my mind. On Friday morning I sat down to give my "final" mix a last listen before I turned it in, and 20 mixes and 8 hours later I was finally done. I HAD SO MUCH FUN MAKING THIS!!! Jesse and I were about to shoot a quick video of him performing his newest song when suddenly I spaced out and pictured a spaceship and before I knew it I was on the floor drawing little aliens and turning my house into a crazy craft war zone.
