Floating in a world of Dreams

I enjoy the idea of Lili floating in mid air, not having full control of her body or her strength. the idea of the dream is to actually represent a dream from different worlds that represent different memories both good and bad. I want people to see the world of R.E.M and know that it is a dream but also feel grounded to the world that doesn't exist. I want my audience to grapple with reality and ask the question " is it really ok for Lili to wake up?"

The Meaning Behind The Golden Tears

Lili's golden tears are referenced from Anne-Marie Zilberman painting of the woman crying golden tears. When I was an undergrad I constantly was inspired by Klimt's work. I would visit museums to see his pieces. What stuck to me the most was his golden era in which he spent so much time creating these paintings full of patterns and symbols all drenched in gold leaf.

Background Color and Phases

When one door opens the other closes

How the dreamworld works is each world created by Lili's subconscious. Each world is lead by doors that only Lili can find. Each world reflects Lili emotions, trauma, inspirations, aspirations etc. Only Lili can open these doors. Even dream walkers have doors that can lead to their own worlds if they slowly start to become influenced by the dream.

Gonna be honest here, Jasper and Leon relationship is as sour as a lemon. Both hate one another yet both need each other. Leon hates Jasper because he isn't willing to be honest with Lili and tell her the truth and Jasper hates Leon for the same reason! yet when Leon does tell Lili the truth Jasper hides from his own fears. Leon hates those who can't be honest with themselves and others. Leon knows it isn't his place to tell Lili Jasper secrets yet every moment he wants to shout it out.
