Deep underground in an abandon cathedral the queen of the sun is locked away slowly losing hope anyone would find her. Taken from her friends by those who are influence by the large bounty to return her to her king. Still unable to control the dreams itself she feels hopeless by her own creations.  "Please let us go" is all she could think of saying hoping to find some reason but all is lost when her enemies lock her away. 

I can't take this much pain

Lili has made a decision to find her memories good or bad. She wants to know her truth self and understand what could of brought her to the point of isolating herself within her subconscious.  When those who interfere with her memories it can corrupt her and send her into a frenzy losing herself and her purpose and her goals. She becomes a chaotic form and cries tears of gold.

Sun Guard who hates sun puns

The Sun Guards are royal guards from the Sun Kingdom, their purpose is to protect the queen at all cost. They don't have much of a personality beside being cheerful and helpful, expect one who is in the far left. Overall Sun Guards are all the same yet you do find a few gems in the bunch but the all love sun puns!!! . The one in the far left is a villain who hates sun puns! he is a villain solely because he is order by the King to bring Lili back and to be honest he hates her. He despises her...

Stuffy or outgoing?

Im seriously leaning into the magic hats. I really enjoy creating this, she really seems so happy. and it is something I see her wearing canon or not. I am constantly over doing it with the hats but come on! it so much fun!. She seems older here to as if she married and has her life together due to wealth. parties? nah! if it isn't a elegant party she refuse to go.

Cloche Hat and Pink

Again digging the cloche hats! I'm really leaning into magic to help cover her hair. I enjoy making designs for the hats! so it really fun! Lili seems more posed here, very fashionable and seems to have the high society feel. She seem very confidante  something I'm sure she wouldn't be if given the situation. must enjoy those moments lol. 

Empire City Gown exploration

Not a fan of the color as much but I do like the idea of the gown when she meets Benjamin in a night club. I do want to keep her dress modest and more elegant compare to the woman in the city who would wear something less or at least not as to quiet. I am a history buff and want to keep the fashion as accurate as possible so no showing the knees!

A Non Canon dress for new ideas

Now these are new and old artwork of my continue exploration of Lili fashion wear. As I mention the post The Sun Kingdom society is influenced of Edwardian era. I have constantly try to figure out her clothing especially her gowns. Ive taken a love to John Singer Sargent Madam X. Her gown is beautiful and gives a lushes silhouette that Ive been trying to reimagine for Lili.

Fashion and World Building

Since the world in R.E.M isn't real it gave me allot of liberty to work on in the world building. The world is created by Lili subconscious who created  a world she would personally love to live in. Fashion, music, and etiquette and behaviors are very important to me and not to confuse anyone in these roles. I decided to use influences from 1915-1925.

Redesign 2016-2020

Lili is a character Ive worked on since 2016. Lili has gone through many phases, but for the most part she stay the same in design. Lili iconic golden dress is still canon, It depends on the illustration but sometimes her dress can be overpowering so I substituted it with a white dress which would be less extreme but still have the same idea of who I want her to be in the story and that would be an elegant and somewhat of a goddess character.

Mother and Daughter

I have this AU that the dreamworld Lili is lost in is actually real, She goes on many adventures with her friends. In this AU Jasper is her childhood friend and eventually they marry and have a daughter name Isabelle. The daughter has Jasper nose and her mothers eyes and hair lol. I also created AU surrounding the family. 

I have so many AUs it hard to count. lol. I have darker ones which you can check out on my instragram. I love the idea of her having a daughter.

Valerie exploration

Valerie is Lili's Royal Confidant. Her role is very short in the actual story but in the AU she plays a bigger part. Lili trusts Valerie completely and tells her all her secrets. In canon when she begins to notice Lili becoming self aware she would report to the subconscious who would wipe away her self awareness and Lili would forget completely. 

Valerie believe this is the only way Lili can be happy. Valerie isn't just any part of Lili's dream she was created by the  memorie...

DONT TRY IT!

As I mentioned Leon would never try to hurt Lili not physically anyway. I do love the idea of Lili being more intimidating than Leon. One wag of her fingers and Leon becomes panicked. She not afraid to be the boss even though clearly she is lol! Now Leon is the type who loves to get his hand dirty, Leon is purely brute strength and he hates to lose. He willing to crush anyone in his way slowly and painfully as possible. He can detect his enemies movement and knows when and where to strike which makes him a challenge. He enjoys the rush and he willing to do anything to get it.

Benjamin comes back!

Benjamin  is purely evil, it funny I haven't drawn him in months, I JUST can't stop drawing Leon! Benji character is pretty much complete and Leon is one I'm constantly exploring. I decided to go back and draw Benjamin I'm glad that I still somewhat got his form down lol. 

Why I added blood I guess to make him look cool? but frankly he the type of person who would hate to get his hands dirty. The Red Beebun is his, there is no name for it yet but it definitely isn't like Beebu...

Leon always so much fun to draw, I love him so much it breaks my heart he is the villain. I created him to be a villain but lately his character just seems to pure. lol. I love his body type it so different from the rest and it helps me explore and learn anatomy to.

Sailormoon inspired!

Ive always been inspired by Naoko Takeuchi work! Sailormoon was my inspiration growing up. I love the idea of a Moon Princess and her sailor scouts. I remember pretending I was her and I had enough sisters to create a sailor scout team haha.
