Book 4 Cover Rough

Hey guys!

I JUST got this from my artist Alberto and had to share. I've already gone back to him for some tweaks on Rembrandt (could use a sexier pose I think) and Maxis (Missing his shades and Goatee/Scarf.) but I think he got Reece spot on for this book.

The tentative title, by the way, is Gun Blade. It will be a new class he picks up in New London. The motorcycle will play a big role as well. :D

Book 4 Brainstorm!

Hey guys!

I'm stewing in my creative juices ahead of starting book 4 and need some extra spice. I have a good idea of where the story is going, but I wanted to hear from you all what things you'd like to see in upcoming adventures.

Book 4 will be heading into New London, which is a futuristic cyberpunk like city. Aside from that the world is wide open. 

What are some things you'll like to see the gang get into in that kind of setting? :)

Okay I think i nearly have this ending figured out and unfortunately it's not where the last poll indicated. ><!

After much consideration, I'm leaning towards making the last line in the Bruce/Carl scene the last line of the epilogue and book.

Having said that I still have one more issue. The scene that is currently in between the two Bruce scenes, where Reece sees lady Diana is my conundrum. On one hand, it does leave the party at a point of uncertainty, but ...

Book 4 and more!

Hey guys!

Thanks so much to all of you for your input and comments, especially for the ending of book 3. I'm still not 100% happy with the end right now, but I've passed it on to my developmental editor to keep things progressing.

I may have more objectivity to make a judgement call when I've taken my eyes off it for a few days. 

I'll be working on plotting for book 4 over the next couple of weeks and will be working on editing for book 3 of course.

New Changes

ok guys, based on your feedback I made some changes to Chapter 45 and 46. Specially I made the Witgar fight a lot more epic. 

With this in mind, I feel like the ending of 45 is a bit more satisfying than before. If you re-read 46 and find it now a bit overkill please do let me know if you think the book could be cut short sooner. 

Or if you like the new changes as is, please let me know too!

Book 3 Ending Feedback

Well the journey is over. I hope! And I hope you enjoyed coming along with me for it. I mentioned before I'm quite the seat of your pants style writer so I always need to check in to make sure I'm hitting the right marks. 

I'm very bad at endings so I really need your help here. If you can give me your answers to the following questions I'd be greatly appreciative. 

1) Did Witgar showing back up in Chapter 45 surprise you at all?

Okay so I've pretty much got just a couple scenes left and i have a couple of loose threads i need you'll input on.

1) I may have an opportunity to have the goddess of the zone appear again. It's something that may or may not be important to the plot, but my question is, would it feel too jarring for the pacing and tone of the story at this point? it's a lose thread i left from book two and just havent found a spot to tie it back into the story.

Chapter 31: Crazy

I travel down the tunnel with Maxis and Rembrandt, heading toward the exit of the worm hole. Gilly and Val Helena have strewn light spells long its length, lighting the tunnel as brightly as the cavern we just left. As we near the exit Maxis slaps me on the back.

“You go ahead and get your bath, man,” Maxis says. “You worked hard in there. We got this.”

The last stretch

Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a line. Real life and the day job have been kicking my butt this week :P I drafted the next chapter 3 days ago and still haven't been able to get back to revising it yet! I'm about 3/4 through the current book I think and the last 1/4 feels like doozey to complete.

Anyway, I'm still at it! I'm still shooting for that August release. Any of you experience this, getting to the very end of something and it seems like it's going to take more effort to...

Random thought...

You know...it's weird. At this point in the story, I actually feel like I'm DM'ing more than writing.

I used to be a Dungeon Master for my friends back in the day, in my teens and college years. Just like then, I know generally where the I want the story to go, but I'm throwing in obstacles and almost watching the characters react on their own. 

It's certainly keeping the writing fresh and interesting for me and I hope you guys are enjoying it too. Let me know if you are!

4th Cover Update Book 3

Back with final two changes. I like how the glass came out. Next will be the final product with Typography. 

3rd Cover Update Book 3

So here are the results of the changes. I'm digging this one a lot more personally. I have a couple more additions for the final version. One is to make the foreground debris into glass to match with the setting of the labyrinth more. And the second is to give Aiko some elf ears pointing out the top of her hair! I'm hoping he can pull it.

Ok so this was the next update my artist sent after the sketch. Based on this I approved a few things and asked for some changes to others. Results in next post.

To die or not to die?

Hey guys! This is my first inner circle post and I'm looking to you all for some help. I'm slow going on the next chapter mainly due to my annoying ability to go off script. I added a whole bunch of lore elements with the last chapter that were spontaneous and I fear they might clash with what I originally intended. 

To make it short, (spoilers ahead!) someone was going to die. I'm not so certain if this will have the same impact as before now. So I need to ask you guys. What do you think...

Hey guys! Just wanted to reach out with a great big thank you for supporting me. Writing is not easy and knowing people like Crystal Shards enough to join this page really inspires and encourages me to keep on writing as fast as I can.

Book 3 was a bit slow to get stared. Granted I did purposefully take a few weeks off to go vacationing with the fam, but now its back to work and back to the grindstone.
