the City of Argea (high-res)

Here's the latest map for the Atlas Elyden. I commissioned Chris Karnezis to make art for the city of Argea, capital of Sarastro and the centre of the Sarastroan empire. The art ended up inspiring me to make the map of Argea, which I spent far more time on than I had originally wanted to!

I'll post the city map separately soon, with some inset details and more information on the city.

Andrinius leant on the lacquered countertop, eyes flitting from shelf to shelf. Tinned food, glass bottles, tightly wrapped bundles of biscuits and trail mix. Packs of bullets and shells. Goodbye 2022!

As 2022 comes to an end, I like to take stock of what I did throughout the year. Here is what happened in Elyden in 2022 in a single image.

A lot more writing in this image than there was in 2021. But then again there's just a lot more content, period - more maps, more art (a big thanks to @artofdomi and Christos Karnezis for the art). A lot more world maps in particular as I try to tick off maps I wanted to get done for the Atlas.

Here's the latest map for the Atlas Elyden. Anyone up for an Elyden 'Choose your own adventure' or 'Fighting Fantasy' style serial?

I have an idea for a patreon-based gamebook style serialised story, similar to choose your own adventure books. I’d run it as a serialised story, with a couple of choices at the end that all patrons can vote on, guiding me through the next part of the story and so on. Certain specific votes would be available to specific tiers as perks of the tier, though for the most part voting will be open to all patrons, regardless of the tier.
