TRADESMAN'S ENTRANCE (EXIT)

The plumber’s just left. He couldn’t get all the work done yesterday. But as eyewateringly expensive as the job proved to be, it’s kind of a relief to get everything done at once. We’re getting him back next month to do some other stuff, because he was nice and unobtrusive, and did a good job. We’re never letting him go now.

Anyhoo... we were meant to be filming tomorrow, but our plans have changed, and we’re now filming on Sunday, when it’ll be sweltering. Hurrah! I LOVE ...

DIRTY DRIPS

There is a feller in our home.

I don’t know what it is with us and ceilings and leaks, but we woke up this morning to water dripping through the kitchen ceiling, all due to a busted tap in the bathroom.

Now we have a man here, and while he’s here we’re getting him to do a bunch of other jobs that we’ve put off for far too long. Horribly expensive, can’t really afford it, but it needs doing. Life stuff, eh?

Morning, all. Happy Monday.

Nice weekend? Hope you didn’t melt. I spent a lot of it drawing a pork pie; that's how rock n' roll I am. And yeah, I know. Might as well have used a photo. Everyone will just think it’s AI anyway. Hussssss!

We also went to my nephew’s 40th birthday party. Lovely to see various nephews and nieces. Everyone has their own expanding families now, so we don’t get together often anymore. That seems inevitable; growing up we were close to my own aunts...
