I was playing around with geist designs (one of the new playable ancestry options for the next RPG that's coming up after Coils of Chaos) and this simple model is the byproduct. Okay, this might be the last Coils of Chaos model for a while (at least as Monday posts), as we'll be switching to other themes for a bit. Rhinosera (and all the others we've made for the RPG) will be coming in sets after the current Kickstarer campaign has been fulfilled, so patrons at the Loyal Vassal ($5) level and higher can look forward to those being released to reward folders in the first half of February.

Hey, everyone. The old Daring Delvers sets have been updated with 15mm scale versions in addition to the original 30mm scale. If you have access to the rewards folders (“Loyal Vassal” and higher) then you can find those now under Miniatures and Terrain_Miniatures_Daring Delvers.

Alright, I mentioned that there was something unique to this process when I posted this guy yesterday, so here it is.
If you follow the images, you can see that the body was sculpted (poorly) in salt dough (basically just salt, water, and flour). We then baked that, and scanned it into a 3D model. I sculpted a head and some dinky little wings, added a few more tendrils, and printed it. Just slapped some paint on the final product.

Today we have a model that will be going into a special set of miniatures for the Coils of Chaos RPG. In the game, magic is unpredictable, and an extreme failure when casting can summon one of these monstrosities into existence.

I'm working on some additional models for the Coils of Chaos RPG setting (aside from the ones that will be dropping in Pocket-Tactics sets to patrons getting "Games" in the next couple of weeks), and I thought I'd toss one at you.

We've revamped and rereleased the Wizzards of the Crystal Forest Pocket-Tactics set! The first version was released back in 2013, and was always one of our favorite (and definitely strangest) sets.
