March 27th 2018: Translation Update

Whew, I am very behind schedule on translating the v1.10 Update for Meltys Quest. First I got a pimple around my anus that made it impossible for me to sit down for a whole day. And after THAT healed up, I got internal hemorrhoids. Thankfully it's internal and it's been a few days since I bled, fingers crossed though am I right? I guess the lesson is to don't sit down for a long period of time so much and get up every now and then? 

Anyway, in the meantime I also did my taxes and stuff so...

March 14th, 2018: Quick Status Update

It's been a while so a here's a quick status update before I head off to class. First, Rance X was amazing. Ending a 30 year old saga the way they did was bold and it worked for me.

After I finished Rance X, Sachinama sent the data for the Meltys Quest v1.10 update over to me and I have been working on the combat stuff inside the update. I didn't work on translations Wednesday, but yesterday and today I've begun work on the village maps. And I've finished three minor maps. The bigger maps are going to be an ongoing work in progress that I think I'm going to work on and off and come back to when I've translated certain points of the story. I am hoping to finish a sex scene this weekend, and also all of the plot stuff in the village before the second dungeon map.

February 4th, 2018: Translation Report

I didn't manage to finish my playtesting yet, there was a problem that took up more time than I expected. I also found out that I left a conversation untranslated in the second map, and then I discovered that the text box is much smaller when there is a face picture inside it. All in all, because of that last part I am very happy to have decided to do the playtesting now, instead of much later on when I have to redo much more text. Finished up the third sex scene, and the rest of the 2nd map. Before moving onto the village map, I decided I'm gonna run the first playtest tomorrow.

January 30th, 2018: Translation Report

Just barely managed to finish the first sex scene of the second map in time! It terms of comparison with the sex scenes from Meltys Quest, this one is a bit on the longer side with character development packed in it.

There will be no translation report on tomorrow, or any Wednesdays in the near future. But I hope by Thursday or Friday I will finish up the two other sex scenes and also the remainder of the second map.

January 29th, 2018: Translation Report

I am a bit disappointed in myself that I didn't make much progress yesterday and today. The 2nd map is big with three sex scenes and a bit of plot so I wasn't expecting to finish it in a day, but I haven't even begun to work on the first sex scene of the map. It's shameful.

January 26, 2018: Translation Report

Today is the first day and it was mostly just checking out the game files.

Meltys Quest was done in RPGMaker MV but "Bitch JK in RPG" was done in RPGMaker VX. So there is a bit of learning process to figure out where everything is in VX, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

More importantly from my inspection is that there are a lot of Japanese file names this time. Which means I need to have a copy of those files with an English name, and then make sure every single reference to a Japanes...

This wasn't the post I wanted to make this month, but.

So, I just received a phone call from the doctor in charge of looking after my thyroid and aftereffects, and she told me that they found a growth in the area where my thyroid gland was cut for the surgery and I'm scheduled for a biopsy this Saturday to identify it. October Retrospect

When I set out on this journey, I had two goals in mind:

1. Show Japanese developers that there is a willing and paying market for high quality English localizations of high quality eroges

2. Show people who don't know a lick of Japanese what eroge looks like in English when the whole script, code and all, isn't thrown into a machine script to translate

Day 3 Retrospect

Woo, what a 72 hours! Seriously it's Thursday night guys, and I didn't even realize it. So here's an update on what's going on. So far, there's no word back from Steam on whether or not this game is fine to be released, which is, kinda troubling to say the least since if everythings perfectly fine it should've taken 2~3 days to get back to me.
