Our epoxy mold came out great! Although this is a trial and error kind of thing so we're going to redo it. We need more silicone rubber to make a thicker and deeper mold. There were some gravity related issues where the mold and the epoxy mixture settled in weird spots giving this thing a sort of warped shape with some weird edges. We also were trying to some how fit the debris from all 109 tapes (or whatever it was) into the one mold. Our first attempt was to burn the VHS tape... which worke...

Hello friends! We're making a video about some behind the scenes projects we're working on. One is to do something with all the Nukie shreds we have. Our plan is to use our large VHS tape to create a negative silicone mold (strengthened by plaster) and then use some kind of clear resin to encase all the nukie shreds (which will either be melted or burned) we're not exactly sure yet. Holy crap! This new Freddy Krueger series takes place in the years between Nightmare 5 and Freddy's Dead! It's a story of the town of Springwood, OH where Freddy slowly picks off the young population of the town over many years. For the next Best of the Worst, we watched three movies that are so far only available on streaming. So we had some physical props to work with, we made fake DVD cases with their posters on front and generic backs just displaying their plots according to IMDB. You can pretty much figure out what we watched if you're so inclined.
It was not a good night.

DVD wall is reaching capacity of trash. I think I can thin this out some with movies we probably won't ever do, but I hate the idea of destroying any physical media of any kind.
