About those big changes...
I wanted to make some big changes to my Patreon tiers, but I have to admit to not being able to figure it out. If it wasn't some technical issue courtesy of Patreon (like not being able to have multiple rewards of the same monetary value without allowing people switch between them for free and grabbing all the rewards), there were issues of fairness (won't go into that), or just making a total mess with too many options.
So screw it, let's just keep on truckin'. No big changes ๐
Except...
$1 Donor tier
I'm killing off this tier because it has just lead to a lot of confusion and headache. I get too many messages asking "why can't I download all those models?" and I have to keep explaining that's not part of the $1 tier, and sometimes they get upset about this, and... you get the idea.
I know some of you have been $1 tier patrons for a while, and I appreciate that hugely. No one is getting kicked off the tier, but no one new can join it from now on. I know some of you take a break from time to time and change from $10 to $1, and you can still do that using a custom pledge :)
July preview
All right, on to what you guys and gals have been waiting for, and let's face it, some of you skipped to this section immediately. Shame on you. I would have done the exact same thing.

Next month will be super "hero" bust month. Batgirl. Evil Superman from the Injustice game/comic story arc. And the odd Marvel-man out: the not-so-lean, but very green, smashin' machine, Hulk. I still have some polish left (especially on Hulk) but they will be published on the 2nd of July. I anticipate they will all be printable without supports.

In conclusion
That's it. I hope most you will stick around when I start up again next month. I do understand for some of you, times are very hard in more ways than one, and there's better ways to spend your money, which I understand completely. For 99% of you this is a hobby, and please know that if I see some of you old-timer patrons disappear that I will think nothing ill of you, and I wish you all the best, and I am grateful for all the support you have given me โฅ
I'll see you in the next post, with some STLs to download!
Be good, and don't do evil.

All right, letโs do this one last time. Most of you know the drill, but the short version is:
- If you have paid this month, you wonโt be charged on June 1.
- If you paid last month, or the month before that, and havenโt cancelled your pledge since then, you wonโt be charged on June 1.
I thought I would be able to re-open my Patreon in June, but I need a few more days sorting the details out since the changes I am making to my Patreon are big, and you guys will need some time to make decisions, so I canโt throw that on you this late in the month.
I should have all the details ready to be presented in a few days.
Thanks for your patience, and your continued support. I know it sucks there hasnโt been any new models, which is why I'm pausing the payments after all, but there will be, and I hope the new people that joined during this pause are happy with their starter pack models :)
Again, Iโm really excited to be able to talk about the changes in a few days, as soon as I have the last 10% sorted out.
Stay safe, hydrated, and I really want a season two of Avenue 5โฆ
Bye for now!
(Oh, this is a scheduled post by the way, and when it goes live I still have 5 hours of work left so any early comments will be addressed a bit later!)

Short version: Existing patrons with an active pledge won't be billed on May 1st.
Longer version: I have decided to suspend billing for May, too, since I'm not quite ready to get back to producing things regularly. While things haven't been quite as bad as I had feared work-wise, the added stress surrounding literally everything I do once I step outside the door has taken a toll on my creativity, which I'm working on overcoming day by day as this situation slowly turns into a new kind of normal.
I do expect to be back in June, although I think there will be some changes then to how my Patreon will operate, that I will announce when we're drawing closer.
For more info and details on what "suspended billing for May" means, please read this older post and jump ahead one month when I talk about the months. March becomes April, April becomes May. With the added note that if you paid in March, and got April for free, you will also get May for free, providing you don't cancel your pledge in April.
Update on the PATRON ZONE
By the way, regarding the PATRON ZONE downloads: As long as I have the billing suspended, that's a no-go. Apparently Patreon's API doesn't have support for suspension of billing. So we're doing Onedrive until we're back, and un-paused.
Again, hope everyone's healthy and safe, and are adjusting to this situation. All fellow parents have my sympathies. Some of our (generally speaking) kids are definitely not made for this kind of isolation that is required right now, and I know some are really struggling with this in their homes, mine included.

So here we go: Marvel's old King Thor. You can probably also pass him off as a Odin since he's got, y'know, one eye and all. I've been debating with myself whether or not to release this one because no matter what I do I can't get him to that point where I normally go, "okay, this is good enough, I can't justify working more on this one!". But I did promise I would release it, and a promise is a promise, and I hope you guys and gals are happy with him the way he is!
I did some test prints at around 50% and I didn't have any issues without supports, but I did use the customary 10% rectilinear infill, which seemed to work pretty well:

The key on the base has pretty generous tolerances so it's not meant to keep the model attached to it alone. It's meant to guide the model into the right place for gluing it in place, or just take a little chunk of Blu Tack and put it into the keyhole and squeeze it into place should be good enough. I wish I'd actually take my own advice on this since since I neither glue nor Blu Tack my own pieces, to sometimes less than good results...
Anyways, I hope you are all staying safe and not injecting yourself with things you aren't supposed to inject yourselves with.
Right after I post this, I will make a post about payments (spoiler: yes, I'll suspend payments for May, too).
And to finish this off, here's our derpy little cat, Kira, saying hello. She's almost 1 year old, snores sometimes when she sleeps with her tongue out, and we love her very much.

Quick update: The Wordpress plugin I use to let users login with Patreon has somehow overlooked someone pausing billing, so anyone who paid last month, but wasn't billed again this month, is now looked upon as an inactive patron, and can't log in to the Patron Zone.
Anyone who is a new user this month can however login and use the Patron Zone as normal.
This has forced me to bring back Dropbox temporarily until the developer of the plugin fixes this little oversight (though I have this uneasy feeling I might be told this is how it's supposed to work, for some reason).
You can find the download links here:
Supporter/Kingpin tier download links.
Donor tier download links.
Let me know if anything that should be there is missing!
Sorry about this! Great timing as usual since I was in the middle of double checking the King Thor files preparing for that release... (โฏยฐโกยฐ๏ผโฏ๏ธต โปโโป

(Clickbait title: MY PATREON IS NOW FREE (NOT REALLY, BUT YES IT IS, KIND OF, BUT NOT? IT'S COMPLICATED, BUT NOT REALLY.)
First of all, I hope everyone is doing well, and follow your governments' recommendations and self isolate if you are feeling sick. I know some of you have lost your jobs, and some have even lost loved ones, and you have my sympathies and condolences, for as much that is worth. Everyone try to stay safe out there, and keep informed.
Some of you know my day job is as a healthcare worker, which means things are starting to become a bit crazy for me work-wise, and it will only get much more so before this all is over, with me being called in whenever and wherever I am needed, so I have no idea if I will be able to produce any sculpts at all in the coming month, or two. Which means:
Starting now I will suspend all billing until further notice. As a patron with an active pledge, you will not be billed next month on April 1st.
I have made a little FAQ which I will add to if more questions arise:
What does this mean to me?
- This means if you are currently an active Patron this month (March) you will not be billed on April 1st like you normally would, but you will keep being a Patron of mine. Unless you have cancelled this month, then read next question:
I have paid for this month, but I also cancelled this month, will I also get next month for free?
- No. You will have to re-activate your pledge before April 1st, but you will not be re-billed for this month (March), or on April 1st.
I cancelled last month, and am not a current Patron of yours, what about me?
- Nothing will happen, you will continue to not be a Patron next month.
What if I sign up to your Patreon next month (April), will it be free?
- No. April is only free if you have an active pledge in this month (March).
Will you keep posting sculpts?
- I hope so, but the whole point of suspending billing is so you guys don't have to pay for nothing. You will keep being Patrons without paying anything, but this also means worst case scenario I won't have time to make any new sculpts. Best case scenario you guys will get new sculpts without having to pay anything.
For how long will you suspend billing?
- Until I am confident I can get back to delivering at least two sculpts a month on a regular schedule.
Will you suddenly start billing us again without letting us know?
- No, you will not be billed again on May 1st unless I explicitly state so in advance, giving you enough time to cancel if you wish to do so.
I am currently (March) a $1 Donor tier Patron, does this mean next month (April) I become a $10 Supporter patron for free?
- No. You will remain in the tier you currently (this month, March) have active.
I am new and I see your Patreon is paused. How do I get your starter pack sculpts?
- You can still become a Patron as usual, and receive your starter pack with sculpts. Just sign up as normal. As a new Patron you will be billed as normal in order to receive the starter pack.
Why are you doing this?
- My day job is as a healthcare worker, and these are crazy times for us (all of us) all over the world. I can be called in almost any time, to work anywhere I'm needed, and I can't guarantee I will be able to produce any rewards the coming month (and possibly more) and it won't be fair to you guys.
AND FINALLY, A SNEAK PEEK OF WHAT IS NEXT...
KING THOR
I'm working on wrapping this one up for release this week. My version of old King Thor (King Thor is an actual Marvel thing which many non comic reads might not be aware of, but is worth looking up and reading).
There will be at least two variants, and it looks like it will be support free, too.

Coming in at the tail end of February is this pretty guy. An alien bounty hunter type of... person? There's a bit more micro details in this one than I usually put in, so it might be fun for the resin guys and gals out there to try it out? The inspiration for this one is in part from Mass Effect, as I've been thinking a lot about those games lately with the world building possibly being my favourite video game one, to the point where I actually bought and read all the novels
I decided to make him printable as one piece, as is, without supports.
I'd love to stay and chat, but I need to actually upload the STL files (which by the ways also includes a 3MF version), hit Discord and make the post in the #announcements channel, take a shower, and grab some sleep being having to be up for work in 5 hours.
So thank you all for being the best there is and putting up with me; and just out of curiosity, do you have a design in mind you would love to show up here?

Back to some basics with this fan art bust! Kara Zor-El, better known as Supergirl. I've been meaning to sculpt her ever since I released my Superman bust "back in the day", just never got around to it until now.
There's two main variants. One with the classic long hair, and one with a shorter bob style haircut that granted makes her look more like Supermom, than Supergirl, which I'm fine with!
She can be printed without supports in two pieces with a separate base part. You all know how it works at this point :) This time around I also added convex eyeballs, opposed to my usual concave, because some prefer to paint it on those:

Okay, now for some "real talk", because I know some appreciate some insight behind the creative madness. I would have released her sooner this month, but every time I sat down in my ridiculously uncomfortable gamer chair (boy was that a mistake I've been paying for the past couple of years..) and loaded up ZBrush I was washed over with a feeling that I can only describe as "meh", and slowly, so painfully slowly made progress while being much too distracted by things such as Westworld, Picard, Avenue 5, Stumptown, Watchmen, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and... you get the idea.
These things happen from time to time, and it had nothing to do with Supergirl, it was just a general funky feeling of rather be doing something else, but fortunately I'm past that now and feeling exciting about the next thing, which I'll be announcing a preview of in short order.
So until then, stay hydrated and off the fast food. Appreciate you guys/gals a metric tonne! โฅ

[This release is available for the Supporter and up tier patrons for free throughout January and February, 2020, and can be downloaded from the Patron Zone. He will later on be available for sale in my store.]
Blah-di-blah-di-blah
So here we are at the end of January 2020. During this month I have managed to turn 40, release an original Orc Reaver, as well as a Picard bust that I'm actually quite pleased with, myself, and somehow managed to get even more annoyed with social media.
Mr. Belz
So let's close this month off with a late release, which this time is another original creation called "Mr. Belz" (thanks to Fotis for coming up with that name), and as you can tell he's a demon of sorts. When I started working on him I wasn't quite sure what to make of him, and you can tell by the save states in the time lapse which road I took to reach his final look.
I always give each sculpt a project name, and when I don't exactly know what I'm doing from the start I just have to name it something. In this case, the original project name was "Surgau Bust". What is a "Surgau"? Apparently this guy, who now is named "Mr. Belz"!

STL or 3MF?
You may have noticed the last few releases I have included both STL and 3MF files. Both can be used interchangeably, but I'm planning on switching to 3MF now in 2020 just because it's a more modern format with a lot more potential, and the resulting files are less than half the size of identical STL files. For now these 3MF are just dumb files containing nothing but the sculpt, and scale information. There's no slicer settings embedded.
If you are curious you can rename the extension .3mf to .zip and open it up and look around inside. Didn't make much sense to me, but I'm not the sharpest spoon in the drawer.
Prusa made a good blog post about 3MF, it's a good read.
Print instructions
This guy is just one single, solid piece. No supports required. I'd use some infill up around his neck just to support the internal overhangs there, but otherwise I've done all I could to make infill as sparsely needed as possible, but sometimes it's difficult without sacrificing too much of the design.
Babu Frik
I know some of you have been waiting for that Babu Frik you saw me having started on. He will come, but I got terribly bored working on him the more excited I got about Picard, so he had to take a little step back. Now that more references of him are starting to show up, I'll get back to, and finish him. Don't worry!
And finally...
Thank you all for sticking around in this sculpting and 3D printing adventure! Any comments or questions, drop them down below, and there's a 44% I'll get around to answering promptly, so please nag me again in a private message or email if it's something important and you feel I may have missed it or forgotten to reply!
I have some exciting ideas about 2020 that I'm working on fleshing out, but it's not quite ready to be revealed yet, so I guess there's no real point in me writing about it, is there? No? Well...
That's all for now, then! Later! โ

As I mentioned in the latest release I have gone back to serving Patreon exclusive downloads from my own website, in the area called The Patron Zone.
You need to authenticate via Patreon (click orange button and follow instructions). I don't get any access to your Patreon account, only what level of patron you are, and your email (which I already have via Patreon), so there's no privacy concerns or other hanky panky stuff.
Some of you early patrons remember the Patron Zone existing before, and might wonder why I went back to it after having switched to Dropbox. There's a few reasons explained below, and if you have any thoughts around this, suggestions, or even bug reports, please leave a comment below ๐
Refunds
Once in a while I get someone who wants a refund for some reason. They might have joined the wrong Patreon (as strange as it sounds, it happens), or some other explanation. Previously I couldn't know if this person just joined to grab all the models, and then asked for their money back, or if they genuinely just changed their mind or made a bad financial decision at the spur of the moment.
Now I can see what every patron has downloaded (yes, big brother is watching, sorry about that...) and when. This way it is easier to be able to make the decision of whether or not to issue a refund, and be fair about it, instead of having a zero refund policy. Especially when I get a request like, "can I have my money back, I swear I didn't download any of the models!" this will be super helpful.
Easier for new patrons (and existing)
It's just easier this way to get a good overview of what sculpts have been released so far, and where to get it, when all I have to do is give one single URL. Every download has a thumbnail so you can easily, and quickly, find what you are looking for even if you aren't 100% certain about the name.
Security
This is at the bottom, because frankly it's the smallest benefit. If someone wants to share my Patreon exclusive models, even though they aren't supposed to, they will just re-post them elsewhere anyway, but I didn't like the way Dropbox was lacking any overview or logs.
So let me know your thoughts below, if you have any. I know you have thoughts in general, but maybe something specific to this topic ๐

Downloading
This is a release for the Supporter and up tiers. The Patron Zone is back. Go there to download. You need to log in using your Patreon account before you can download. I'll make a separate post explaining this decision.
The Story
With roughly a week until the upcoming new Picard TV-show I decided to release a piece of relevant Star Trek fan art.
As a Trekker, over the years I have probably spent way too much time watching all the various TV shows multiple times (TNG alone 4 times). While DS9 is my favourite show, my favourite captain is Picard.
Part of the reason being his shiny dome, which someone (much like me) who started to visibly bald at the age of 18 could relate to. Here was this main character of a TV show captaining an interstellar starship, and he had male pattern baldness. To me at least this was super exciting.
At first my plan was to make a formal bust with Jean-Luc's stoic face, something that might suitably adorn the hallways of Starfleet Academy, but as I kept sculpting I felt this isn't necessarily the Jean-Luc I would personally prefer to look at on my desk, or shelf. I always loved the moments when he was surrounded by his friends, with a content smile on his face, or geeking out over some ancient (perhaps alien) archaeological artifact, so I decided to move it in that direction instead, and I am happy I did.
So, this release is near and dear to my heart, and if while printing it you can find even a few percents of the joy I experienced while digitally sculpting it, that's fantastic ๐ A lot of the time, sculpting something can be laden with frustration and difficulties, and while there were difficulties to be sure, there were almost none of the usual frustrations, and this is quite rare for me.
Some printing info
There are four lights-- Uh, I mean, there are two versions of the main part. One which is more authentic with ear lobes, that require supports, and one which I have tweaked the ears of to make it print without supports, but it is less authentic to the subject.
The key on the base is more generous than usual and is only meant as support and alignment while you glue the two pieces together, so be warned that if you try to mount the main piece onto the base without any help it will fall off at the slightest nudge. Even some Blu-Tack โข will help, that's how I usually do mine.
Thank you!
And finally, a big thank you to all of you! I realise I am in a very privileged situation having such a fantastic bunch of you lending your support, and making all of this possible. We just passed 300 patrons, and we will have to figure out something special for that amazing milestone :)

First some obligatory New Year obligatories...
Hello! Happy new year, and all that jazz!
I know, I know... I'm supposed to write some big post about the previous year and summarize it all up, but frankly at this point for the past week all I've read are posts and articles like those, and the mere thought of sitting down and writing one of those myself makes my stomach churn ๐
Or, perhaps I'm just lazy.
Re-gard-less: let's do this quickly! You're all awesome! I made some sculpts last year! You printed some of them! Which is awesome! Most of you are still around, which is also awesome! 2020! More sculpts to come! Woo-hoo! ๐ฅณ๐
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS ORC
"What is an Orc Reaver?" you may ask. I have no idea! It's some original content orc bust that you Supporter tier patrons get for free during this (January 2020) month, and it will also go up for sale at my store for everyone else. You get it for free this month, though, just to be clear.
It is printable without supports, but please use some infill for this one. If you decide not to, and it fails because of it, I don't want to hear about it because I did warn you and I will punch you in the face! ๐คฌ
I can already hear my buddy Fotis tell me, "David, we don't threaten patrons with physical harm."
Which is fair enough.

Hello there, my dear patroneers! A little update on what I'm currently working on amidst all this Holiday craziness that is currently surrounding most of us. When I say "currently working on" I mean "these are the three things among the ten or so sculpts I am actually working on that I feel most confident to show at the moment". So let's move on to these three beauties:
Firstmost (is that a word?) we have Babu Frik, whom I started working on in my head right after I had finished watching Rise of Skywalker (me and 30+ other sculptors will be releasing this guy, just wait and see... ๐). This little guy made me laugh the most in the movie, so it was a given! I realise the mustache(?) hair is a bit exaggerated right now, but I want it to be actually printable on an FDM machine.
I might just end up making one version without a mustache, too. We'll see, maybe you have any thoughts or ideas?
Second, there's some original content, with an orc bust that I'm hacking away at. I'll be putting this one up on my store, but my Supporter tier patrons will be getting it for free to download for the first month or so (depending on when in the month it is released.)
Third, is just something I'm having a bit of a laugh with, and playing around with, and the current working title of the piece is "Superman..? ๐ค" with emoji and all.
Anyways, whichever I finish first, I'll release first, and at this point I'm not sure which it'll be! I keep jumping between the two first ones several times a day, so it will probably be one of those!
Thanks for your time, gang, and have a nice one! ๐ง

So here she is: Rogue!
I was convinced I would be able to release her sooner than this, but I kept doing some changes here, and some changes there, and I remade her face after some good feedback from Thomas Strande Hansen regarding her being a more haunted character, and not as much the smug grinning one that I had first envisioned. Thanks for that feedback, Thomas!

Printing information
Supports: Yes, a few (see details below)
Infill: No
Supports
She comes in two pieces as us pretty much the standard for me these days: a body, and a base. I did a lot of work getting her as printable without supports as possible. I even did that dumb thing where I tilted her head back a bit too much, but in the end I made the decision to have her require some supports on her arms, because the one thing I did like about this sculpt his her pose, and while I'm sure I could have forced the geometry into something that would have been more support free, it wouldn't have looked great, and I decided not to make that compromise.
So you'll need some supports in some strategic places, painted red here:

And I've provided an example of custom supports places in Simplify3D here:

Infill
Not needed! But I'd add some just because, but that's just me :)
THANKS
... for your continued support, it means a lot, and I hope to keep living up to your expectations for many more creations to come!

COMING SOON
So up next is Marvel's Rogue, which will complement the previously released Gambit bust from last month. I'm nearing the end stages, but I still need to finish up her hair band, give her hands with gloves, and come up with a base! Also her face doesn't seem right, so a bit more tweaking there, too... ๐ค
She's on her way, though. Stay tuned!

Hello, gang!
Here's a Hellboy bust in the style of the comics by Mike Mignola. Normally I'd write something more here trying to be funny and charming, but I have this craving to play some video games!
He comes in two parts. Supports shouldn't be needed for this one, and I'd say to use some infill, but then someone posts a perfectly printed version without infill, so do whatever ๐
just use what you normally use and I'm sure it'll be fine! Also, the key on the base it pretty generous, and not a press fit so I recommend gluing it in place, but it also means it should be able to be scaled down without causing any tolerance issues.
Thank you for your continued support, you guys (and gals) are pretty amazing. We're very close to 200 patrons, and that is HELL-a (see, that was kinda funny and charming...) exciting!

PODCAST

Also! Me, Fotis Mint, and Wekster have started a podcast that we call ZERO DUCKS, where we talk about stuff roughly related to and around 3D printing and art, and you can find it over at Wekster's YouTube channel. Check it out! (Not sure why I agreed to it, but it was fun recording.)
Again, thank you for your continued support, and now I'm going to play a video game so see you later bye!

Hello again! Got a bit of a surprise release for you! So, after the Mandalorian bust I wanted to make something simpler, and since the trailer for the next Half-Life game has recently come out I felt a bit inspired and decided to make one of the more iconic (albeit obscure) characters in video games history (at least for my generation!).
It was a fun little sculpt that I made over the course of two evenings, which was a nice change of pace from most of my usual stuff because seeing progress so quickly helps staying motivated.
Hope this one will be of interest to some of you! He prints without supports, comes in two parts, and can be downloaded via the Dropbox link in this here post.
Thank you for your continued support. I'm going to bed now because I need to get up in 5 hours (why do I do this to myself...), but I'll see you all again soon! โค

So here he is, the faceless Mandalorian gunslinger from the outer fringes of space. I'm trying something different this time and also release a video that you can see above, and I apologise for some awkwardness but this is definitely not my strength ๐
In the video I talk a bit about the supports (yes, supports are needed) and where to add them, and if you only want that information you can skip ahead to 1:43.

I hope this will be a fun print for you, and thank you for your continued support! :)

Hello, hope everyone has had a good weekend! I've been toiling away at this here Mandalorian guy, and I'm finally at a point with him where I am starting to become satisfied, and I'm starting on the base, and thinking about the engineering (how to best cut it up and orient it for printing -- I want to avoid supports, but with this one that might prove challenging).
One of the issues has been which pieces of armour to give Mando, since all the information we have points towards him upgrading his gear to Beskar pieces throughout the season, but I figured I'll do the basics at first, and we'll see going forward if I'll release a fully upgraded version once the season is done with and I have a bunch of reference screengrabs.
So how is everyone enjoying The Mandalorian? I have to admit to being in love with the show, and I really don't mind the short length episodes, having watched the second episode 10 times this weekend while working on the sculpt...

This is around the time of the month when someone like me, who runs a Patreon, sends out a message to his/her patrons with enticing and alluring previews of what is coming in an attempt to keep you from canceling that monthly pledge, and it is something I have done in the past, but I'm not going to do that, not this time (except for maybe a little, tiny, teaser in the end, we'll see...)
Instead I want to give you all a big thank you. Regardless of your reasons for supporting me, whether you do it because you simply want to support an artist, or get permission to sell prints of the models I sculpt, or just join for a month and grab the models and excitedly proceed to print them, you have my gratitude.
It feels both amazing, and still very strange to now have 160 (+/- 20) people every month giving a part of your hard earned money, for whichever your reason may be, and it adds a certain amount of pressure which on a good day is fantastic motivation, but on a less good day can be downright debilitatingly anxiety inducing.
Throughout the month there's so many thoughts jostling around in my brain screaming for attention:
"I'm super happy with this sculpt, but is it just in my head?"
"Am I making enough sculpts? These other guys release like 10 every month..."
"I really need to start losing some weight soon..."
"Should I make a sculpt of former Hynerian Dominar Rygel XVI? Only one, or two at the most of my Patrons would even know who that is.."
... and all too rarely:
"Man, I'm actually super lucky. There's people out there who would give an arm to be in my position..."
So, there's a good chance I may be a bit insecure, and quite possibly suffering from a severe case of impostor syndrome, but I hear even Tom Hanks suffers from this, so it can't be that bad of a thing to struggle with, right? Right!? :)
Again, thank you. All of you!
(Oh, and because I know some of you really want to know. During November my main focus will be The Mandalorian and Rogue.)
tl;dr: Thanks! I'm Tom Hanks. Mandalorian. Rogue.

Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Remy Etienne LeBeau. Better known as GAMBIT. I promised him this weekend and, well, close enough! ๐
What I like about this design is the 90's comics style, with the hair, and more importantly, the head mask/sock thing that used to be so much more prevalent in comics, and I think had its heyday in 90's comics like Wildcats and the game X-COM/UFO: ENEMY UNKNOWN:

How to print
Anyways, enough rambling. This here Gambit comes in two parts, and should be printable without supports, and does need some infill (unless you are Anton, who somehow manages to defy gravity and basic physics when printing) to be sure it prints properly (although the base does not need infill, but I'd go with 3 walls/perimeters just to give it some solidity).
The playing cards he is holding in his hand are a bit thin, so just to avoid the nozzle bumping into the print due to some curling of the plastic I'd use some z-hop when printing this part.
And that's all for now!
What is coming up next? I still have a damaged T-800 version to make, AND I would love to make a Rogue bust to go with this Gambit bust, in the same style, because y'know, the two have a bit of a history, right?
So that's probably what is up next. Unless of course I make The Mandalorian to coincide with the release of the TV show with the same name on Disney+ next month (I have actually already started work on this one...)?
Thank you all for sticking around, and as they say: au revoir for now, mes amis!

So, being done with all the Halloween silliness let's move on to the more familiar stuff. I'm looking at finishing and releasing this here kinetic energy ๐๐ฅ slinging mutant dude this weekend, so stay tuned ๐ต!
Thanks for sticking around, and let's all have a nice weekend!

Edit: Now the head is also uploaded to the Dropbox. Shut up. ๐
Here's another rather quick one. I should soon be done with these! This guy doesn't look too hot, perhaps he's come down with a case of the man-flu..? Drill a hole in the bottom and mount him on a pike, or a pole, or a body part like your finger.
Preent instrukshuns
Supports: Nope.
Infill: Yess. As always I used 10% rectilinear infill, and it came out just fiiiine...
ONE. MORE. HAND.
I made another variant of the Zombie Hand, one that is decapitated and doesn't come up from the ground. Also the variant has a variant: one with a worm, one without a worm. You can find them in the Zombie Hand folder in the Dropbox!

Okay, right, so I had so much fun doing the Evil Grinning Pumpkin one so I had to make something else Halloween themed, so I hope you'll indulged me dipping my toe in some non pop culture for a bit ๐
A gross rotting zombie crawling its way up through the cursed ground of a cemetary (or your lawn?).
Printing instruction
No supports needed, but I went with 10% rectilinear infill, and to be safe I put a brim around it to anchor the finger tips properly on the build plate.

So here's something a bit different :)
I don't usually do seasonally themed stuff, but everything can't always be elaborate busts :) So here's something little extra in the (evil) spirit of the upcoming Halloween shenanigans. A somewhat evil pumpkin head with a grin. In short: Evil Grinning Pumpkin Head.
I'll be selling this guy in some of the stores, but you'll be getting it as part of your Supporter tier package for at least until Halloween is over!
I wanted to paint my print of this one, but I could unfortunately not find my acrylics in this mess that is my home/workshop/self imposed prison.
How to print
No supports on this one, but you want a little infill starting at around this point. Look up some online guides on how to do this in your slicer of choice (S3D does this with multiple process for instance):

Here's Arnold! I hope the likeness is close enough, the nuances are difficult to get right, but I'm hoping he is recognisable ๐ This one is a timed exclusive for you dear patrons, and the plan is to make a second version of him after he is all roughed up by that asshole terminator: T-1000, and has parts of his endoskeleton showing through, kind of like so, that will be entirely exclusive.
This guy comes in two parts. A main part, and a base part. If you have two printers you can print both at the same time, which is always nice.
He is completely supportless.
The base doesn't need any infill at all, but to give it some stability and weight I'd put some there anyway, personally.
The main part needs some infill from the t-shirt collar and up. You'll see there's some floating geometry when you slice it, so just make sure you it them with some infill so it doesn't print in the air, or use your own judgement! :)
Enjoy! I'll be back in October ๐

Howdy! Just a quick update/elaboration on the KINGPIN tier. It does also cover my models over on MyMiniFactory. Previously I was on the fence about this, but to make it easier, with a current KINGPIN tier you can also do whatever you wish with the prints of those models (not the digital files (and no scanning of prints either as a loophole ๐)).
Have a good day!

Hello, hope everyone's having a good weekend! So here's a new one for you Supporter/Kingpin patrons: Logan/Wolverine. I've had this one on the backburner for a while now, and decided to finish him up.
Logan is a short and hairy dude, and I considered for a while to sculpt in the hair on his body (shoulders/back/chest), but I was a bit worried it might not print very well so in the end I decided against it, but if someone really wants sculpted back hair I'm sure I could oblige... :P

Information about printing
This is just a simple, straightforward bust in two parts so there's no magic that goes into printing him. No external supports needed. I'd give him a proper brim (pictured below) because the contact surface isn't huge, but if you know your prints have good bed adhesion then he should be all right.

Thank you for the continued support! I'll drop you guys a preview soon of what is up next, I'm not quite ready to reveal just yet!

Hello, gang! Took a while to get this one ready due to some things going on behind the scenes, but Mr. J has finally arrived!

He does require some supports this time around, I just didn't see a good way to get around it, but I've designed it all to keep them to a minimum so you should only need to use a pillar under his nose, and under his chin.
Using your slicer of choice you'll want to place them kind of as indicated in these images. :

When it comes to infill, you'll need to use your own discretion on this because slicers seem to handle this differently. What usually works fine for me is 10% rectilinear infill, but again, please use your own experience with your own printer and slicer combination since I can't guarantee what works for me will work for you.
Infill shouldn't really be needed up until the neck (as indicated in picture below), but please do scrub through the layers in your slicer and make sure nothing is printing too obviously in the air. Again (yes, I know, I keep repeating this) use your own knowledge and experience to determine what will work for your printer and slicer :)

Finally, thank you for sticking around, despite me being very quiet this month, but I hope it will have been worth the wait! Things are mostly sorted on my personal end, so I expect to be back at 90% capacity as of today.
I also have a huge backlog of social media to go through, so please bear with me while I slog through it!
Again, thank you for your continued support!

Here she is! Felicia Hardy, a.k.a. Black Cat. A day later than I expected, but I had a few things I needed to sort, but here she is! I'm dispensing with the fluff text for this one so you can get your hands on and print her ASAP.
She prints without supports, but I'd add some 10% rectilinear infill for the base and her head, but that's just a suggestion. Always scrub through your layers in your slicer and look for unsupported internal areas :)
As always, a big thank you for sticking around ๏ธโค๏ธ
Up next: Joker! (... but, I hardly know her...)
