Clothed Shibari - BTS Multicam

I had a 58-minute shoot with Wiana in Shibari, and uniquely, she was wearing a bodystocking underneath. She is obviously less nude, but light still works the same way: Everything you can do while the model is nude will work in clothes, but not the other way around.
Shoting models in textiles is much more forgiving because the details of the clothes take attention away from less optimal lighting.

Fatima's Pool

A quick shoot with Fatima in a stunning swimming pool in West Hollywood, being her usual mix of elegant and naughty.

I’ve actually shot very little in pools. There’s something about water and nudes that really appeals to me, but I just haven’t had much access to outdoor pools - at least not ones where you wouldn’t freeze your booty off jumping in.

Luckily, Lilith Etch is an absolute trooper:

That Loving Feeling

I’ve always loved shooting with Mynte Model since the very first time. She has this girlish charm and an incredible ability to express emotion. There’s so little happening in this shot, yet so much at the same time.

I don’t have too much to say bout this one: When you have amazing light streaming through a window, you must make the most of it.

And with a model like Minka, that’s an easy task.

During some downtime at the Airbnb, a couple of participants asked if they could shoot Wiana and The Endless Sinner from outside the house, through the window.

They did, I had a look nd even played with using some treeleaves as framing, but I didn’t find it all that interesting.

Boiler Room Blonde

This gorgeous set was shot in a nearby, dysfunctional boiler room with the amazing Georgia Brown.

Georgia is an absolute posing machine, effortlessly cranking out pose after pose with a rare inventiveness that keeps the photographer on their toes.
You really have to be on point to keep up with her energy.

On one of the days during the Majorca workshops, we drove to a derelict monastery I knew in a remote location and planned a shoot there. It’s always a pleasure to find abandoned places that haven’t been completely covered in graffiti.

There can be a certain grace in decay, but once graffiti is introduced, the atmosphere is lost for everyone—except the graffiti artist. This place, however, still had its raw beauty intact.

Here’s another shot from yesterday’s beach day shenanigans. I had all the models roll in the sand to create shots with as much texture as possible.

I’m quite fond of this one - the interplay of texture, shadows, pubic hair, and hands really works for me. It has the feel of a blown-up snapshot, but it’s obviously a bit too sharp to be truly candid.

Both the set from Yesterday and today's set was chot when I took everyone to an unofficial nude beach, the day before we started a workshop in Majorca.

We basically just played around, did a bunch of shoots, got some sun, and chilled.

You might not know this, but Loulou (yesterday’s subject) is also a photographer, so she couldn’t resist the chance to shoot Wiana and The Endless Sinner in a variety of ways on the beach.

If you want a space on a nude beach it's a good idea to arrive relatively early. Here we are just setting up.

Venus goes ashore

Here’s a little set with Loulou on the edge of the water.

This one was a bit tricky because the tonal range of the model, sand, and water was almost the same, making her blend in a bit too much.
I had to make some adjustments in Photoshop to make her stand out—darkening the background, making the water more reflective and cooler in tone, and, of course, cleaning up distractions.

The viewpoint

I’m sure one of these gorgeous women has a vastly better view than the other from this cliff.

To be fair, I didn’t plan this - it just happened, and I was lucky enough to be ready to capture it. There’s a wonderful voyeuristic element to it, which I think adds something extra to the overall feel of the image.

It’s not actually as high up as it might seem, and that’s the magic of photography - you only see what’s in the frame.
