You might I think .. aaah its just a small mouldline.. nobody will notice! ...or... naaa the drill is to far away.. i wont need to open the top of my bolter .. but in the end those little details prevent to the spectator to believe the character you want to display or the atmosphere you want to create! The question of "how its made" gets more interesting and it blocks the person who looks ...

The Night after uploading the Tattoo video post I woke up with terrible pain in the lower back and the leg ..The last two weeks where all standing and no sitting :( thanks to Ischias nerve being trapped.

today I will show you how I paint faces for something like a 28-32mm figure like our captain here. Usually I would also paint the inner elements of the eyes such as Iris and .. if possible a light reflection... but due to his facial expression it was not really possible for this mini.

here is the short little chapter on the straps and belts.
I didnt cover the whole process on the boots as I did them in the very same way as I worked on the belts.
Depending on how much gloss you want its always nice to add various brown tones with Inks, here in this case I wanted to maintain a rather flat finish. This way the reflection lights don't interfere with my painted on highlights, especially in this scale its helps to keep the miniature more "readable".
