aaaaand here's the second "augmented reality" reference video from AdeptiCon 2023!
Here you'll find a real time example of a quick, intuitive "alla prima" approach using only fully opaque oil paints (the easiest to manage when you start playing with oils coming from acrylics)!

And here is the real time footage!
There are some interesting bits in the oil stage where you can see how the work wasn't a totally straight line, but I do some back and forth between shadows, lights and again shadows of the skins to establish a clearer division;
the initial wash was meant only to "stain the canvas" and get an oily priming layer for the proper brushwork so its contribute in creating shadows is limited to the deepest recess, like the space between fingers and the strong...

If you are a beginner with the airbrush this is probably the best way to start playing with it! A video plagued by endless technical problems (missing files, corrupted files, corrupted audio... you name it! and yes, I've changed my SD card after this one!) Karmically balancing how smooth, relaxed and satisfying the painting process was...
As a bright side I learned a lot about how to handle longer recordings (I lost count of the hours on this one...) on display models and in the next feature they'll become episodes on specific stages of the work to better see the natural progression ...
