Just a quick heads up today. Development of v0.2 is advanced and this week I'm working to wrap up the new content and features. 

I'm trying to keep the 30 day release interval, but there's a lot of needed polishing in the exploration system. The goal is to release the new version by the next weekend, but I might need a few days more.  Keep tuned !

Developer's Diary #24

Hi folks.

I spent this week working on the UI, title, menus and improving the save system used by the engine. 

The load screen now looks for save files and metadata asynchronously, which means it can handle gracefully a much larger amount of save slots. In this project, the game will be frequently auto-saved (keeping up to 20 auto-saves in history) and you'll be able to 'collect' any of those auto-saves to an unlimited list of collected saves in game.

Hi, folks!

This is the official demo version of the new project (title is not definitive). It features an extension to the tech demo where you'll start to explore the manor and the secrets of the adventurer girl. There is a quick new voyeur scene to find during the exploration, but still nothing too much 'hot' yet (if you played HnS series you know that I like to gradually increase the temperature in these games).

More about the new project

Hi folks!

I'm already working on the first 'official' demo of the new project.

I'm trying to make this game to flow a little more based on the 'exploration' of locations and events, instead of only long sequences of semi-linear scenes.

Yet another tech demo

Hi folks!

This is the tech demo of another idea I'm working on. It's based on the HnS VN engine, but now I'm trying to create a 'side view' free roam mode similar to classic adventure games. The download contains a very little preview of how this mode would work.

I'm already working on a second tech demo of another idea for the next project. This one is based on my VN engine with some new ideas for interesting mechanics.

Hack'n Stalk 3 [v1.0 beta]

Hi folks. Here I am again...

I sized some few available hours during the last week to work on this version of HnS3. It adds a short closing hot scene and epilogue to the game (based on Amy's corruption). It also changes some dialogs and interactions in prior scenes to reflect the game's shorter scope. Playing from the start will make more sense to the new scope, but saves from the last version can be loaded.

Sorry for not posting much lately, but things aren't getting any easier for me...

The development of HnS3 is still happening, but the available time I have to work on the game will be very limited for a couple of months. My plan is to release one or two more versions with an additional scene wrapping the HnS3 story.

Hi folks! As I posted earlier, I'm still away from my workstation for a few more days, but I found a little time here to make this quick post on the go.

I hope you liked v0.3. There's just a little bug found, but nothing serious: choosing the 'kiss' action after removing the skirt will misteriously make Amy put it back on.

Hi folks! I hope you liked v0.2! I found some bugs in this version, but none of these are game breaking issues so I'll deliver the fixes on the next release version.

I'm sorry for posting less info here lately, but day job is burning me out... The release of v0.2 was a (late night) struggle and things don't seem to get any easier at least until the end of the year. I dream one day making these games for a living, but for now I need the job and have people to provide for!

Hi folks. Real life is crushing me, but I managed to get v0.2 ready for release !

It adds the nightclub activity for day 2, with another point-and-click sequence and two sexy scenes. I cut the gallery out of this version to avoid a delayed release. It will be added in the next one.

Hi folks! Time is becoming a scarce resource, but I'm managing to going on with v0.2 content. I'm now working on the final "interactions" of the new activity, where things start getting quite hot for Amy.

The gallery is still listed on the roadmap, but I don't know if I'll delay the release to implement it, or do it in a smaller release later. I believe v0.2 can be released by the weekend. See ya!

Hi folks. I realized that I never posted my thoughts about the current project size, so let's talk about it.

As I posted earlier, this has quite less new play time content when compared to the demo because my focus during these weeks was on the back systems and the setup of the sprite mesh animation framework.

There's no new point-and-click sequence, but you can have a first 'hands-on' trial with Amy in the new setup!

Hi, folks!

Work on v0.1 is almost done. I already sent dialog files for revision and now I'm doing some final tests on the new systems.

The background framework is ready, so I hope next versions will feature a better amount of new content than v0.1. However, this version will feature the first animations in the the new sprite mesh system, which is amazing! It is saving me a lot of the boring work I needed before to make  animations fluid (and sexy!)

Hi, folks! This was one of those tough weeks, but I managed to write most of the basic systems update I wanted for the new game. In HnS2, the MC had a fixed job so there weren't much choices at the beginning of each day. The idea in HnS3 is to give the player set of activities to schedule each morning. This framework is mostly done and now I need to work in the activities itself. I hope this will make the game somewhat less linear than HnS2. I also a good and a bad surprise this week.

Hi folks! I hope you liked the demo! I'm already working on next version and trying to define the scope of the new content it will contain.

It will certainly feature some missing UI elements in the demo like a title, a status screen, and maybe the start of the gallery module. It will also need a lot of work in the base gameplay loop of event schedule framework (a system that didn't exist in HnS2). I believe I can post the roadmap for version 0.1 in a few days.

Hack'n Stalk 3 Demo

And here we go...

This is the first game demo. It contains the game opening, including the intro and a short point and click sequence containing a quick XXX scene and some pictures to find.
