Hi, folks! Roadmaps again!

Hi folks! I already sent the first files for text revision, which means that the development cycle is fully active again! Getting started!

Hi folks! The project is officially starting! I already did some initial cleanup of my old framework code, making it less bug prone and enabling it to receive some new planned features like:

  • Skeleton animated characters in dialog sequences (no more talking to static images)
  • Scenes with normal mapped animated sprites and dynamic lightning 
  • A more generic perk system (not limited to the D.IC.K. statuses) but still simple enough to avoid heavy grinding mechanics

Character testing and pledges

Hi, folks! I've been making tests with some lookalike characters during the last couple of days. Sometimes they look fine, but I feel they might be a little uncanny.  I don't know what to think... Is it worth to keep working on them (some of these use ancient figure models) or I should I go for my custom faces?

Hi, folks! The poll was somewhat balanced. A fair amount liked the idea of a sandboxed game, but I'm still struggling to make my mind about the shape of the new project. About v1.0

Hi, folks! I hope you liked the outcomes of our characters at Riverside! I'm already working on the next version. A "v1.0" means that the game can finally be tagged as "complete". Of course, we can still have a v1.0.1 if further serious bugs are reported.

Developer's Diary #14

Hi, folks! The end is nigh! The last dialog lines were written and now only the custom artwork for the ending sequence(s) are remaining!

I also made some score balancing in several scenes of the game. With this I hope there are no ending outcomes requiring a "perfect" playthrough. 

However there's also some not so great news... Because of this balancing, and mostly because of unrecoverable bugs I found on data saved by the previous release, v0.9 won't load save games from other vers...

Hi, folks! Option C won the pool, so we will have a bigger v0.9 with all the remaining story content! 

I'm now working on the last sex scene, which will be fully unlocked at day 4 if the player has followed one of two specific set of actions (one for good Karma players and the other for the mean ones). It's a hard scene to work on because it flows in several big branches branches based on your prior actions and the renders are particularly tricky.

About endings! and v0.9 !

Hi, folks! We're approaching the home stretch of the Hack'n Stalk 2.0 project, so let's talk about endings! No spoilers here, don't worry!

In HnS1 there are 4 completely distinct endings, each one with its own fixed sequence of events. It also features the idea of a 'good' and a 'bad' ending.

Hack'n Stalk 2.0 OSX Experimental [v0.8.1]

Here's the OSX Experimental v0.8.1

As always, this is labeled experimental because I have limited access to the Mac I use to build these versions, so it's not properly tested!

This one I had to upload to mega.nz because the file is over 200MB, (maximum supported to upload to patreon). I can't use a 7zip on the Mac and the default compression seems not very effective!

Hi, folks! Here's v0.8! As I said earlier this is another quicker/smaller release. It adds the night of day 3. You may find a new sex scene and finally check what's happening with your neighbors.

Hi, folks! I'm already working on v0.8. This version will feature two scenes scenes during the night of day 3:

If you played the LOST AND FOUND quest, you'll receive a surprise visit before leaving the Miller's house and those loving/corruption points will make real a difference for a certain character.

If you triggered the HELLO NEIGHBOR quest, you'll have a last chance spend your hard earned driver salary to buy the item that will allow to complete this one.

At the end of day 3, Phoebe might arrive home in 3 possible moods:

1) Cheerful: if you 'personally helped' her in the previous quest
2) Usual mood: if she had what she wanted with the help of Jason
