Patreon Feedback

Dear Patrons,

here is a quick sneak-peak at today's YouTube video that will be coming in a couple hours :D

I'm writing this post to ask you all for some feedback. Now that I've been doing Patreon for a couple months I've been learning a lot about the process and I think it would help me a lot to hear your thoughts as well.

I'm mostly thinking about the content I'm offering - I've mainly got four things: LR Presets, AE files, extra videos and postcards.

As far as I can ...

January Photoshop Action: CineStill 800T Halations

Dear Patrons,

this month I've decided to do something a little different: Instead of an After Effects File I would like to give you a Photoshop Action File.

In case you don't know: A Photoshop Action File is similar to a Lightroom Preset - it's a set adjustments that I compressed in one file, that you can load into your Photoshop and apply to your image.

What I decided to make was a fitting add-on to this month's Lightroom Preset. The preset is inspired by the look of CineSt...

January Preset: Viennese Greens

Hello! :)

Here is this month's Lightroom Preset. Vienna doesn't excel in its natural greenery, however a green look does fit it quite well. This preset has been inspired by the look of CineStill800T, though it is quite flexible and can be a bit warmer, as you see in the examples.

This look is ideal for dark scenes lit with artificial light or indoor scenes such as train stations. In broad day light this preset could look quite strange I think, however it did seem ...

December AE-file: Surveillance Camera overlay + Time

Dear friends here on Patreon,

it's time for this month's AE-file. Seeing as I finally published my short film this month, which contained a bunch of AE work, I thought it would only be fitting to share some of that work with you :)

So as you can see in the picture, there were a couple scenes with this surveillance camera overlay including the time and a timer. I've included all three as separate compositions in the file, so that you can use the overlay, but also just use the timer...

December Preset: Dreamy Winter Sunlight

Dear Patreon community,

here is this month's Patreon-Preset! :) This month's preset stems from some winter photography edits that I've made last year and also continued this year. I'd describe it as a warm airy and slightly rose look. I changed it slightly to make it more universally suitable as can be seen in the examples without snow.

I've written some more info and also how I recommend using it in the preview - I hope you like it :)

Thank you so much...

November AE-File

Hello dear Patreon community! :)

November is coming to an end, I hope you've been having a good one, and it's time to add one more post to this month - that is of course the After Effects file.

This month I decided to make you a dark title animation. You might have seen similar titles in my videos, most commonly the "good bye" animation at the very end of my videos.

This one I've changed a bit to add some more elements and also make it more universally usable than some other...

November Preset: Paris Browns

Dear Patreon community,

this month’s preset was inspired by a recent trip to Paris. Apart from my film cameras that were loaded with B&W film, I had brought along my Lumix GX80 to capture colour photographs. Paris really inspired me to try out a warm brown look to suit it’s European old architecture, or modern concrete buildings.

The look will desaturate most colours in the image only leaving orange and brown tones, which are then enhanced by additional brown and red colou...

October AE-File: Brown Backdrop

Dear Patreon community,

this month's AE-File is one that you might quickly recognise from my videos: it's the brown backdrop with a paper-ish texture and a pressed plant. Additionally I've added some wiggly text, which you can easily replace with whatever text you want to write :)

I hope this can be of use to you,
Teo

P.S: in case AE doesn't tell you by itself, the font in the image is called Felt Tip Roman and is used in Bold here.

October Preset

Dear Patreon community,

I'm happy to announce the first post of this month - it's the monthly preset! :)

For October I went through my library and found a look that I've been going for when editing cloudy and rainy days, especially in nature, when there's a lot of greens. This preset is ideal for those moody days and will give the greens a colder tone, while still preserving the oranges of your scene. All the examples are again tweaked slightly in white balance, tint and exposure....

September After Effects file - framed video with texture animation

Dear Patreon community, thank you so much for being here - this is Septembers' After Effects file I would like to share with you.

In case you saw the video from a couple weeks ago called "A trip to Scotland in 1998 on film." you might recognise it. I used this framed video as a stylistic choice to display the old footage, reminiscent of what Super 8mm film looks like, but not trying to precisely replicate it.

You can use this by simply dragging and dropping the After Effects file ...

September Lightroom Preset!

Hello dear Patreon community,

thank you so much for being here and supporting me :)

Here is this months' Lightroom preset. The image is a sort of preview map that states what the preset is ideal for and displays some examples.

Please note, a preset is not a one-click solution to photo editing, however very close to it. All the examples you see here were edited by applying the preset and then only tweaking three parameters: The exposure, the white balance and the tint - that ...
