We finally get to give some good news; today we hit a milestone by rendering the last of our original panels which leaves us with just the alternate versions of already existing panels to work on. It's not something we have done before, certainly not on this scale, so is hard to make predictions but we should be able to get it wrapped up in time. Since that's relatively low effort work we can simultaneously spend some time fixing the code, sounds and of course, testing.

Sorry folk but it's more delays.
Back at the beginning of the month we still had some hope we could deliver the update today but we're just not quite ready yet.
We were really counting on getting our best month ever in February but rather the opposite happened; we had all sorts of interruptions and mishaps and we ended up falling well behind where we should be.

Just a small note this time around. We're really dedicating every possible minute to finishing the TMS update and we're actually progressing at a pretty good pace.
We're still aiming for the end of February but it's looking more and more as will probably bleed well into March. Either way we're almost there.

How is 2023 treating everyone so far?
We have been keeping busy; we're close to finishing the “main branch” play-trought for the next update and soon we'll begin working on all the branching paths. We're all learning the hard way a thing or two about branching narrative (Why or way did I made changing Sharon Outfit optional?😩 Now we have to create a whole branch where she is wearing her old clothes which practically no-one will ever see😒)

November and its stuffed turkeys are in the rear view mirror and the holidays are coming fast 🎅.

So, a bit of good news for a change.
We got all our files back (from the folk at Blizzard Data Recovery if you are ever in the same pickle) which kinda make all the work we did so far in rebuilding rather pointless 😕 (I really did not expect to get my originals back).
Lots of time, lots of work and quite a bit of cash to be pretty much back where we were a month ago. It's not exactly a win but at least we got past yet another hurdle and we're back to moving forward....

We made some progress early in the month but mostly we have been dealing with the fallout of my very own spectacular blunder. We had one hard drive fail earlier in the month, which normally wouldn't have been much of an issue since we got backups of backups but of course this had to be my potato laptop which is the one computer I never bother to back-up and as it turned out had the only copies of my script, code and edited render...

A bit more summer fun with the girls from TMS. We reached 270 renders for the game this week, which is not too bad but still a long way from the goal post.
We're going to take some time off ourselves and hopefully come back recharged in a few days.
I'm pretty sure the last time i was exposed to sunlight was in 2020 so I am looking forward to it.

We're finally ready with a few previews for July.
It took a while longer then usual but we have been mostly focused on animations this month.
When it comes to them the new hardware is really making a big difference. We used to have to rely on previews that were so low in quality and resolution that a lot of mistakes wouldn't become noticeable until after we rendered the full size version; with better previews we have a far more clear idea of what the final animation will look like...

June is been a bit of a mess still, as far as TMS goes it's been our most productive month in a while. We made about 80 renders (and quite a bit of coding, sound editing etc...). All in all I would say we are about 40% done. Still a long way to go but we are definitely picking up steam 👍

A quick production update on TMS
We spent most of last week tweaking the code (the gallery function is all set, and with a pretty clever set up if I say so myself 😌) and still made enough renders to push us forward another 10/15%
All in all I would say we are about a quarter done.

We are currently working on the long awaited gallery function. Since we like to make life harder for ourselves rather then starting from the main menu the gallery is an in-game option which unlock at the beginning of this update. By collecting pictures through the story and by exploring the world the MC can unlock the gallery for different characters. As anticipated we created both a compressed version of our game (it shave off about 1GB with no loss of quality) and a patch from version 0.4.4 to 0.4.4B for those who already have the game installed. Both are now available on F95Zone.
We plan to do something similar for all new installments going forward to make it easier and faster to get the latest version.

Our patch for version 0.4.4 is now available on itch.io
We're going to hold back the usual fanfare while we work on an official compressed version and possibly a way to install just the patch for anyone who already has the game installed (it's a lot to ask anyone to download the full 4GB just for a few corrections and animations) we should have at least one of the two alternatives up in a few days.
