We honestly have not started our next project because we're juggling a lot of things right now (one new thing that we can probably make public on the 13th) but we do know WHAT we're doing! We're going to try and make a key... out of resin!
To add some stakes to the test we'll also be locking up our shed and doing the test there. Also we got this really cool clear lock so we can see how it works... or fails :P

Hey guys! We're starting to work on a bigger, more ambitious project. A light up sign that chooses a random adjective and noun to make a (hopefully) fun and wholesome message of encouragement (a randomized motivational poster, if you will). It will be a wooden sign with a thin wood veneer that will (hopefully) light up via LEDs and a CNC cutout.

After we've modified the cannon and built a blast shield, after we've plastic wrapped our back yard, after we've gone thrift store shopping for some sweet denim jackets and donned our stylish paint suits... there's only one thing left to do: get shot by a paint cannon. We thought it would be prudent to test fire on a canvas before firing at each other 🤣 ended up using a mix of acrylic and fabric medium (which basically adds some flexibility and durability to the paint). We also set our go-pro in front of the canvas to take one for the team and capture how well the paint spread out 😋 (gif below)
This is to protect our fancy camera from getting covered in paint when we do our air-cannon-paint-denim-jackets. Don't worry, we'll be covering the tripod with a tarp so it'll be protected too, but look how cute this little blast shield is!
Also, Evan gets extra excited about blast shields because it's very Mythbusters-y.
