Thanks again everyone for your support! just a quick note: while doing these in greyscale was fun, for the coming months I'll be doing them in B&W only due to time constraints.

MONSTER fanart (complete)

finished! this was really fun to ink and colour. its a challenge adapting my rendering skills to something with a lot of spot blacks. i've taken a lot of influence from dave stewarts' colouring work on Hellboy and the BRPD comics, where he uses simple blocks of colour and texture to make sure the bold inks and composition stand out (colourists need more recognition imo)

Mechanical design sketch hell

The Delta-00 aka. WYVERN gets some design changes (above) to make it more ergonomic and (hopefully) easier to draw.

Drawing the head in perspective to teach myself how to draw it consistently.

Its ion cannon mechanism, which is hopefully as freaky as intended.

Sep Sketch Requests #1 & Important Update

First batch of sketches complete! these have been a lot of fun, thank you everyone! 

however, due to the volume of interest, for next month's sketches I will be raising the minimum pledge to $10. The current $5 tier will be deleted and a new one will be created. feel free to edit your pledge if this doesn't suit your situation! thank you for bearing with me in the meantime.

aaaand finished! i hope the screentones don't compress too weirdly on your screen. this was a very fulfilling experiment and i learnt a lot about clip studio's features. i'm now fairly confident in creating the comic this way, now i just have to finish the script (which i estimate is a bit over halfway done). enjoy...

Test Pages (Inks + Lettering)

Completed the inks and lettering, so all that's left is the screentones and final touchup. i've already learnt a huge amount about the process in csp! though if i'm going to improve my efficiency i need a much, MUCH better tablet.

Mule racing

Character inspired by talks with friends. He's a rally/F1 racer who had a promising start to his career, but almost lost everything after a major crash. He's been chasing 1st place ever since, trying to recapture his flame.

Comic page practice (WIP)

wrapping my head around CSP's comic-specific features and having a v productive time. this is the clean sketch for 1 of 2 pages for practice's sake.

Guitar - rough colour pass

lately i've been wanting to push myself and work in a limited palette, which (as i've found out) is harder than it seems. i'm using more saturated colours on the figure & foreground and greyer tones in the background in order to create depth

Please note this may be subject to change in price depending on demand per month, so now's the time if you're interested. Reward Tiers Discussion, Monthly Feedback

Hey everyone! Thanks for sticking around. I have a couple things I'd like to discuss and get feedback on and i'd love to hear from you.

Firstly, I'm considering opening simple reward tiers that will give $5+ patrons monthly doodle requests. If you are interested, or if there are any other tier rewards people would be keen on, let me know!

Cast lineup progress

Introducing some new faces to the project! i really needed to make designs for the remaining members of the pilot squadron Sonny belongs to, and i'm happy with the results so far. now the fun part is getting to think about how they all interact in-story.

zero g (complete)

started off within my comfort zone and eventually because a lighting experiment. its a struggle for me to not overwork rendering in digital art so i'm always consciously trying to limit myself. instead of just slapping gradients/adjustment layers/filters on i try and think a bit more about what i want to achieve. i hope this worked out okay in the end!
