now that i'm finally back home and had a bit of time to rest, i wanted to talk about how bitsummit went!
just for a bit of background, bitsummit is an indie game event held in kyoto every year (normally but the past few years it's been online/hybrid due to covid). i had the chance to show a pet shop after dark there and i've concluded that i don't think my games are really a good fit for game events, hahaha.

i wasn't planning on it but i decided to make stickers for a pet shop after dark so i could give them out at bitsummit! they should be shipping out soon but i wanted to share the design with you all.
as bitsummit draws nearer i'm getting more and more nervous since i've never done an event like it before where i am actually showing something i made myself but i hope it goes ok!

now that the exhibitor list has been announced i can say that i will be exhibiting a pet shop after dark at bitsummit in kyoto this august! i am very excited but also nervous because this is the first time i've ever shown a game of mine at a physical event...

i made a tiny caterpillar painting game for a character creator jam! the idea is that you collaboratively paint a caterpillar with random other people & you can view other caterpillars people have painted.

i'm not sure exactly where i want to go with this but i had an idea for a game where you're in a hospital waiting room & you're buying snacks from the vending machine there.
here's a timelapse of the bg i made for the waiting room with a mockup for the dialogue ui potentially... i don't have any plans to finish this any time soon but i wanted to make this while the idea was fresh in my head still.

my goal is to have this page up and ready for beginning of may so i can give out the early access codes to all of you but i'm still working on putting stuff together so i can't make any guarantees... once it's ready i'll have it up though & also have a release date announced!
