It's Emma's birthday on the 5th!! I wanted to draw at least a little something for her and the little something turned into this :') This is basically my yearly attempt to paint , you can clearly see it's rough around the edges and partially unfinished, but I don't have time to work on it any longer, so I'm declaring it finished and throwing it out there x)

The companion piece to the chapter 5 cover illustration of Jasper 💜 I turned them both (well, the alternate version of the Jasper illust) into DIN A4 prints for the upcoming Dokomi, too.

I only ordered a very, very limited amount for now, I wanted to see how they'd be received and what they'd look...

The other day I realised I still have to make new business cards so I finally sat down to draw one today :D I think it's going to look really pretty printed as a small card ; -;)

I finally found some time to doodle V the other night before I went to sleep, so I thought I could share it here :')

I really enjoy Procreate for simple doodles and sketches, the more I draw with it the more familiar I get with the features and options and while I still prefer Clip Studio Paint, it definitely has its pros, too. And that it just records the process automatically is such a big plus T -T)

April review / May goals

Good evening gemlins ❣

I don't even want to talk much about the shit show that was April, there's not much for me to review. All I wanna do regarding that month is thank you for being patient with me and sticking with me, while I scrambled to get back on my feet : D I've been reflecting a lot recently on how I want my work-life-balance to look like moving forward and there will be some changes in the near future, more on that at the end of this post.

Sketch collection | April 2019

Rejoice, the sketch collection finally returns! Between the last one and this one I had like 2 months in which I either had zero time or energy to sketch pretty much anything outside of comic pages but in April, after being out of commission for a little bit, I decided to take some time to familiarise myself with my tools again, and I'm actually really happy with almost all of these sketches, they were fun to do and I feel like they very really helpful as well.

#MUTED test print!

The other day I received my test print of the book! :) Surprisingly I was very pleased with the results and didn't have to edit much before I could approve production, so hopefully the books should be here very soon! I'm not actually sure how long the printing company will take but I don't think my fears of the books not arriving in time for Dokomi will come true after all, so that's a relief.

I am super anxious though that something might still go wrong and all the copies will look ter...

Practise sketches

It's been a while since I last got to share any sketches that aren't comic related! I spent yesterday and today to do some practise sketches, copy some things to train my drawing muscles again after the week-long break and do some character doodles with reference pictures, like all of the images you can see above :)

it's been like a week since my last post i think, and I'm going to keep this short because everything is exhausting.
I've gotten proper sick again, those who've been here for a while might know that i was really sick in December and then again in January (? i think) and yea, it's back lol

I can finally present you the finished book cover illustration for volume 01! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

This took more than 2 days to complete, because after doodling a few drafts that were much simpler, of course my decision fell on the probably most difficult and time-consuming idea. But I wanted the cover to show some of the major things that we see in #MUTED, so I feel it was well worth it.

Those things include, of course, the book Jasper is holding, which isn't an exact replica of ...

Chapter 01 cover - New version

After spending so much time on the new and improved pages I felt like the cover of the first chapter also deserved an upgrade! So here it is :')

Compared to the old one I see quite the difference, which is really cool:
