Should you cut your rumble at 50/80hz?
Nope. Just listen to his own recent releases.

Have a play with drum grooves and use that rhythm to play rhythms in harmonics as well.. aka your pad can bounce with the track via an eq/lfo. Also, go nuts with the vocals.
Mix wise it's fine :)

Cut less on the rumble and you should be alright :) (Delete all the processing first and start from scratch with a good old sidechain that goes to 0 on the rumble

Understand the concept and the human ear and you should be good to make creative choices.
1. Human will listen to rapid changes in the 1 to 3k area (think talking).
2. Mono is always upfront
3. No verb=in your face
so automate it the other way around to focus on the lead :)

So, a couple of ways to do this but first trouble shoot:
1. Is it a room mode or a headphone mode? If so, make a note and reference on a system you know inside out.
2. Just play in a sine wav on the same note the "bass" would have been. Cut the bass do your thing to it and put the volume up till the song is nice and warm
3. Do it old school. Duplicate the track, warp and -12, -24 or -48. Cut with eq and you will have a warm low end.
Audio circle jerks happen all the time. One slipped into the group so here is proof that you should not pick up tips as truths. Always take tips as tips and try them for yourself

The trick to get it fat is the 7.5 tape setting on the ag mastering thing from waves. It's an insta bump. This only works if the rest is set right too ;). Generally speaking it's way too much though so an eq might be needed.
Cool glitch on the lead!

alright, so this is the same video as the video below but now with vocals.
The sidechain compressor release knob is your friend. Get that bumping at the same feel. (Slower release).
Please also choose how you want to play your snare, either on or off. Flange or straight. It's a little annoying, might be a pet peeve of mine.
"so, it's filthy and that is great. Balance out the mids sounds and maybe sooth the top end. I think your dj parties must be awesome

to create your own kick record your own kick. If you are layering kick samples together it's more of a mixing mindset. For that I tend to follow a "character kick" aka Mid focussed and then fixing the low end. Either via replacement or drum bus. For phase issues simply adjust adsr or switch phase via utility.

so, all in all it's great as per usual. I have a feeling you might have pushed a limiter to smithereens as the kick disappears half way through the track.

So, that track slaps but might be a bit too thick haha. Turn down the bass/Sub or delete whatever is done on the master for that low end. Put the vocal back in the middle and keep on being awesome

You do not need True peak and keeping the ceiling at -1db is a good idea.
Song overall as always is great.

Honestly the guitar is great. The rest of the track needs volume adjustments though. Please kill whatever was done on the top end of the drums. The groove is generally lower in the frequency range.
Play back the kick and adjust levels from there.
1. Write down the track names, bpm and key. (don't forget your artist name)
2. export 32bit (no need for dither)
3. Export no more than 20 tracks (FX group instead of 20 single fx tracks )
Start of with EQing the kick so that it thumps instead of knocks. After apply "space" so that both the drums and the musical elements live in the same area. Last I would put the chords tighter and in the front.
Good luck

As Julian pointed out. Basic wav with distortion, eq, imager, and wide delay in triplets

It's not too bad for the mix so good job on that. Bit of a tweak and you are there.
Personally I am not a 1 note song guy as it's a tad monotonous (aka hypnotic). You can easily add a little variety for the people via a "release" to 7 semitones below after the break. At the end I also show some quick theory for your next song so it's easier to break out and not be scared to go to more notes. This will probably result in a one chord song so please give a quick google to chord...

Vocals up 6db. Leave fx at the same level.
Bounce needs to be added. So, I would honestly listen to "old" funk and apply that.
More bounce to the ounce. Check the bass line moving around, guitar funking away, chorus with vocals with vocoder. Or just add one of those west coast lines.

Great job on the vocal work. That is leaps and bounds from the previous track.
Drums/Bass sound cut in the low end. Please remove that and let the low end be nice and thick.
Random sounds:
Put them in a group and turn all of it more to the back of the room. That should sort it all out in one go.

Well, kaytranada has a different phylosophy so you have to adjust yourself to that to get that type of mix. Aka, simplicity and volume.

An outstanding job. I do not have much to add. Only the middle 8 needs simple drums and the girl "hey" is a little loud. For the rest spot on.

pop is a different beast all together as there is less to "hide" behind. No cool sound design things but real instruments and vocals require a more balanced approach.
Overall music wise the drums really can be thicker/louder. Little ghost note trick can help out easily on the snare. The piano panning needs to be addressed and the vocals DE-essing plus level.
For vocal leveling play only the drums and bass. Then simply imaging it on stage and turn up the vocals till it ...
