Sometimes, I just browse Kindle Unlimited and click on whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. And even though I usually stay away from rock star romances (In fact, I'm not a huge fan of celebrity romances), I couldn't resist this book because the blurb looked good and I was intrigued.

Hi Sarah from Afternoona Asks here. Happy Chicken Nugget launch date to all those who celebrate! Hell yessssss I’ll be watching first episodes and hoping for surreal brilliance!

Not a Kdrama but I inhaled Kiseki— a Taiwanese BL that has my favorite second lead couple everrrrrrrrr. By inhaled I watched 11 episodes in a single binge. I was up to 3:30am and no regrets.

I turn in more edits Monday and then I can juggle another drama as well.

What are you reading and has K-drama influenced your reading choices at all?

I’m currently reading The Warm Hands of Ghosts and can’t recommend more (author is Katherine Arden and probably my favorite)

I love a historical…but have been craving a paranormal atmospheric drama and this book is scratching the itch. Not quite paranormal. Maybe more speculative fiction with light paranormal elements ;)

Yeah, I want more dramas like that!

After pledging to get into all things killer, I absolutely did not. I’m currently surprised to find myself utterly delighted by Doctor Slump. Park Hyung-Shik and Park Shin-Hye are perfectly cast imo and I’ve been trying to sell Megan saying there is VERY little operating room plot. Not sure if that will make her bite, but I am all in.

I’ve also taken it upon myself to rewatch all the Suchwita (BTS Suga Variety Show...

Finished Marry My Husband! (spoiler thread)

Happy Marry My Husband finale day, everyone! Amy here, by the way. Poking my head out of the covid cave (it got me again) after just finishing the finale and needing to discuss. 

Some brief final thoughts:
1. Na In-Woo and Park Min-Young's chemistry was worth the 16 episodes alone. And good gravy, I did not remember him being such a giant redwood of a man as sad cousin in Mr. Queen. Love. Him.
2. Su-Min is one of the best villains. She is horrible but not for...

Friday Watch Check

All right I’m finallllly ready for the murdering to begin. Lots of violent shows to choose from but I’ll start with Killer’s Paradox. Last night I watched a Japanese movie on Viki…His… I wanted to like it more than I did. I started a pretty old Park Hye Shin drama—You’re Beautiful— as well, but I’m uncertain if I can go on lol. Is it a case of enduring a few over the top episodes and then it’s crack good? I need to know.

I turned on a book to my editor last night—squeaking under my deadline by 1hr and 3min. A win is a win!

So what have I traded off to get ‘er done: sleep, sanity, seeing friends, being outside, exercise, meditation, grocery shopping, kdrama binging.

Folks, we cannot have it all. lol.

So now I look at my house and think wtf has been happening here…and my partner and children all blink…like idk we just live like savages because you weren’t paying attention....

I think I’ve hit the point where I need a break from corporate boardrooms in my kdrama. What is a K-drama setting we haven’t really gotten yet? And should?
