Actually a remake but it's totally different from the original from the year 1854 or 2003 (and better too) but that's how it goes. :) Problem is that this also allows for many many other scenes with a similar mood. I'm gathering Patrons to get to a point where I actually get to do as many follow ups, digressions and spin offs ...

There's nothing like that smell of swamp on a sunday morning is there? I know it doesn't look anything like the classic Swampthing anymore, but why revisit that look when Swampthings evolved since. The new species are much scarier and more powerful, so, I guess they're here to stay. They're still rare but... she found one. Kudos!

It's a pretty extensive makeover of a picture from 2003 or something. Not just a touch up. Are they ever just touch ups? Yes, some are. Most aren't though. I let myself get carried away. I like that. Art is just letting your tools lead the way, in my case it's the digital pen.

I thought this was a good visual idea when I found this again in my archives, but it looked quite dated and it could do with more attention. I was happy to see a completely new woman emerge from the original, of...

Barebella page 20

This is a comic I am painting a page for every month. There’s only a rough storyline, that I won’t disclose, to have some guidance, but I try to spontaneously go with the flow otherwise. It isn’t yet perfect. I paint quickly to not lose momentum and will clean it up when it’s done. I’m not sure how many pages it will be but I’m aiming for a basic 44.

That means it might get a follow up. Or not if I can’t get it printed.

It’s very loosely based on the ancient movie ...

I wasn't done with the Sassy series and I did that black haired lady again. I like the colours and the unspecific setting. But then the blond and the darker lady just happened, after which an artist joined in as well.

Funny how that works sometimes. It happens when you let your drawing do the work. I just have to hold the pen and it actually just paints whatever. I said before that images with multiple characters took me ages once but this only took me about two and a half days. Which i...

I wasn't done yet. :D I hope you don't mind. I like that this little patch of jungle allows all kinds of weird discoveries and perspectives. Some not so friendly. I haven't seen much of the nicer things yet but who knows. Just around the corner there may be some. We'll just have to wait and see. It's quite a challenge for the artist though. And what is art without challenges?

Ah well, If you've been here for a while you'll know that one painting often causes other paintings.  Even if it involves nuns. I painted a nun before, not too long ago, but now she's more the center of attention. I'm not sure if she was going for that. Stuff happens in art. Who knew :D

I don't think I'll make this one public. Even the covered version might be too risqué for Patreon. I hope you'll like it though.

More Bunnies (XL)

Any excuse to paint bunnies like this is a good excuse, Right? Well, here they are.

They would be frolicking in the fields too, if it weren't for those heels. It's impossible to frolic in the fields with stiletto's on. So...  I usually don't do high heels in meadows just for that reason but finding bunnies like this there is practically impossible anyway, so why not heels too? :D
