TOTW Hype Trading

What is TOTW Hype Trading?

TOTW Hype Trading is the idea to make a profit through the hype around the next potential TOTW. I will just talk about the Gold cards in this guide, the next Guide is about OTW and Headliner cards.

How to do it

As we all know, when a real-life Football Player has a really good game, he has a shout for the next TOTW, and with him being in the TOTW removes the Gold Ca...

Complementary Trading / Link Trading

What is Complementary Trading?

Complementary Trading (Link Trading) is the idea to make a profit from new in-demand squad ideas. These new squad ideas can be through anything, the most common cases are SBCs or new weekly objectives.

This method is related to the Substitute Trading Method a lot, it covers the 2nd way to make a profit from people changing the squads.

Substitute Trading

What is Substitute Trading?

Substitute Trading is the idea to make coins through Players exchanging cards from the club. This can be from anything, it's just key that people swap a card for another card.

I’m a bit on the edge to give this guide 2 stars as it requires a bit of a “market feeling” and knowing when a card is too low and when not. But there are a few indicators that can help you throughout the year!

Tech Avion

What is Tech Avion?

Tech Avion is a French trading method since the early stages of FUT. It is a combination of Lazy Listing, Special Card Flipping, Position Change Method, and Chemistry Style Flipping. You maybe noticed that I wrote a guide about all these just before Tech Avion, that’s because I aimed to build guides on each other and now we have the final stage!

All these are based on the idea to sell special cards higher than they...

Overpriced Selling

What is Overpriced Selling?

Overpriced selling is a whole trading method around the concept of Lazy Listing. It’s just listing popular and in-demand cards for higher prices than they are and hoping to get some sales.

This method is originally from the German Fifa community, they started to use this at the early stages of FIFA 18 and improved it through different tricks over the past 2 years. I personally never really used this method ...

Special Card Flipping Guide

What is flipping?

Flipping is the whole concept of “Buy low, sell high” in an ideal short time.

To be a bit more detailed, it’s the idea of flipping out of packs special cards which fluctuate throughout the day consistently with profitable areas. On a normal market, the supply and demand aren’t always even and cards go up and down a lot especially as these aren’t in packs anymore and the main supply comes through the player ba...

Silver Trading

What is Silver Trading?

Silver Trading is a trading technique around expensive Silver Player Cards. Throughout the year different SBCs get released such as League SBCs which increase the prices of certain Silver Cards, but even at the start of FIFA, we have some expensive Silver Cards due to the Advanced SBCs and Silver League.

These Silver Cards also have fluctuations and that allows us to make a profit with them.

Rush Trading

What is Rush Trading?

Rush Trading is the idea to buy cards shortly after the release. It's important to know that this method is very intuitive and not a method to work around and think for hours. Some days you have less than a minute to decide your buys before the prices start rising.

It is a risky method but it's also profitable with little risk. The faster and more experienced you are the better the profits are.

Manager and Consumable Trading

What is Manager and Consumable Trading?

Manager and Consumable Trading is a smaller method to grind while waiting for other stuff or during dry market days.

I include two concepts here, one is for Manager Trading and the other for Consumable Trading.

Manager Trading

Same as Player Card, Manager Card also hold some value. Some are higher and some are lower, this allows s...

SBC Card Flipping

What is SBC Card Flipping?

SBC Card Flipping is the idea to make a profit through the fluctuation of commonly used SBC cards in different SBCs. We are working around Futbin and SBCs but this is still a Flipping method as we use the User demand through different solutions!

This is one of my favorite low-budget methods as it teaches the basics of flipping and usually has a great return on the trades. This is one of my main methods to get from 0...

Marquee Matchup Investing / Flipping is a trading method around a specific SBC showcasing the 4 biggest real-life football matches of the week released every Thursday at 6 pm.

In general, we will post our Marquee Matchup Prediction every Thursday during the rewards to give you the best buy time/hold time ratio, but we sometimes cover parts of it even on Monday.

Mass Bidding

What is Mass Bidding?

Mass Bidding is the idea to bid as many cards as possible from the same category or even the specific card. Compared to normal bidding this allows you to win more cards at the same time and you can focus on other parts of the market in the meanwhile.

This method works every day and every hour but there are key times when this works even better. The casual playe...

Chemistry Style Flipping

What is Chemistry Style Flipping

Very similar to the Position Change Method, you aim to get cards at a low/average price with an applied Chemistry Style which adds more value to the card. Very effective during the early stages to build up some quick coins without much market theory.

As an example, casual players try to avoid paying 5k for a Hunter so they look for the card with Hunter already applied. They find the 10k with the hunter a...

Position Change Method

It is one of my favorite methods for the early stages of the game! Easy to grind and straightforward!

What is the Position Change Method?

The Position Change Method is a very beginner method to make coins even very early in the game.

The idea behind this method is to make coins on position changed cards on the FUT market. Due to a changed position, these cards gain a bit more value but they s...

Common Mistakes 2

Panic Selling

Panic selling is something we see on the market every day and it rarely makes sense to follow the downtrend. As explained in previous guides, if you think a card is going to continue the downtrend then it's smart to sell, however, panic selling shows the example of everyone selling at the same time and oversupplying the market. That makes the cards cheaper than they are and resulting in heavier losses.

Avoiding this is tou...

SBC Fixing

What is SBC Fixing?

SBC Fixing is a method to generate hype around your cards and rise the price through Futbin solutions! This concept is a bit inconsistent, but it works the best around SBC with very good packs or very popular cards.

Learning this concept and doing it takes a few weeks and some good practice, that’s why I made this Guide a 3 stars Guide. It took 3 weeks to find a semi-consistent way to pull this off for myself.

SBC Investing / Fodder Investing

What is SBC Investing / Fodder Investing?

SBC Investing / Fodder Investing means buying cards in advance of an SBC to make a profit from it! As you can see from the word “investing” it's an EA-based market move and you depend on the content EA wants to put out.

Using the Unassigned Pile is also very key for this method as it allows you to store as many cards as you want!

Unassigned Pile / How to buy bulk investments

What is the Unassigned Pile?

The Unassigned Pile is extra storage for purchased cards. It's like between a glitch and a real feature, nobody knows how EA wanted to play this out, but this is used by many traders throughout the whole year many times!

How does it work?

The easiest way is to just buy cards on the console and leave them in the Unassigned pile. You get there after buying a card, it’s the menu wh...

Trading around other Traders / Using Traders Hype

What does that mean?

Trading around other Traders means making trading moves based on the idea to sell to other Traders or not buying something because other Traders are already pushing the prices.

Another very underrated concept which I used a lot the last 3 years and which saved me some good coins over the year! This concept also follows the idea to sell in the hype.

Overnight Listing

What is Overnight Listing?

Overnight Listing is a special way of Lazy Listing while you are sleeping. It’s a concept to avoid cards being useless in your club and getting the most out of every possible trade/investment.

This is a key concept for trading throughout the year, I would say I probably made 10-20m additional profit with just overnight listing and good deals!

I will write this from the UK perspective, just l...

Squad Changes / Player Exchange

What does that Squad Change / Player Exchange mean?

Squad Change / Player Exchange is the concept of people getting new cards and selling previous cards to free up some coins.

This will happen a lot throughout the year! From what I have noticed so far, the intensity is like a wave. In the early stages, this happens a lot and people change squads based on the new stuff they get, around Futmas to early February it happens less partly due ...

Lazy Listing

What is Lazy Listing?

Lazy Listing is the idea to sell cards for people who don’t want to search for the cheapest card and just buy the next best one.

It's super straightforward, there’s no extra stuff you have to do, its just listing cards at higher prices and waiting/hoping for a sale. And even though this is so basic and simple to do, it's still one of the most underrated things you can do on the FUT market!

Opportunity Cost and Double Dip

What is Opportunity Cost?

Opportunity Cost is a very basic term even outside of FUT Trading which just means “missing out on other profits” if you break it down to the core.

Example: Buying MM Cards on Monday morning with the SB Rewards and selling on Thursday evening with the SBC is a very common “Opportunity Cost” situation. You can double your coins with the MM Cards, but you will miss out on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday ...

The difference between Flipping and Investing

Flipping

Flipping = Player created demand. That means a price change based on the fact that people are going to buy it/don’t buy it.

As an example, buying OTW cards and selling these in the hype before the game. This is flipping, there’s no other impact just the fact that the demand rises as people speculate for a goal or good performance. The most common flipping move is Thursday Flipping.

Most traders will probabl...

Common Mistakes

Risk/Reward

Not knowing the risk/reward ratio is a common mistake for traders and casuals, but a very easily avoidable one.

I usually see people doing something like “all in”, “go big or go home” or “big balls club” stuff when it’s not smart or not worth the risk to reward ratio. You will see me referring to the risk/reward ratio almost every day and on almost every post. It's one of my key concepts to give you the best advice.
