Latest on Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano hasn't been seen on TV for quite a while, leading many to speculate on his status. Fightful was given an answer.

On Monday, there was a report noting that Johnny Gargano was still injured, and wouldn't be competing at this year's Summerslam. While we can't confirm his status for WWE Summerslam, or the status of the originally planned DIY angle, we can confirm that Gargano is no longer injured, and was factored in to recent creative plans in WWE.

Gargano was backstag...

What WBD would consider a success for AEW Collision

AEW Collision debuted on a night that is largely uncharted territory for a weekly, prime time Saturday show in this television landscape.

AEW Dynamite has generally been between 830-950k viewers on Wednesdays in prime time, while AEW Rampage has been all over the map because of the sporadic viewing times. Fightful has inquired within both AEW and sources at WBD prior to the launch of the show as to what they would consider a success for a Saturday night.

AEW didn’t respond to ou...

Sean Ross Sapp: They’ve taken this step already in some cases, but I’d like to see some personality-driven wrestlers that can work to complement their outstanding wrestlers. I know they want to build within and debut a lot of their Dojo wr...

Alex & Kate's SOUR GRAPS: AEW Collision (and SmackDown) Review 7/8 | Barely Legal

CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe is starting at this point, and the mood in Regina is electric. 18 years in the making, this has the potential to be something special.

But the boys have their work cut out for them if they want to surpass the absolute CLINIC put on by FTR and Bullet Club Gold earlier tonight.  There's intrigue aplenty in AEW, and a bunch of Bloodline drama on SmackDown to boot. I won't call it "Cinema" because I don't want Righteous Reg to be mad at me, but it was heavy on the...

CM Punk pitched to be a part of Blood & Guts

CM Punk in Blood & Guts? It could have happened.

The Blood and Guts match ended up getting unfortunately hampered at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Bryan Danielson broke his arm at the show, and hasn’t been backstage since, effectively removing him from the BCC vs. Elite match at Blood & Guts. However, CM Punk offered to get involved in the match, we’re told.

Fightful Select sources confirmed Voices Of Wrestling's report that Punk pitched himself as the 5th member of the B...

News on Triple H, Nick Khan and Vince McMahon's rumored meeting

There were rumors recently that Triple H and Nick Khan were planning a “creative intervention meeting” with Vince McMahon.

McMahon is currently backstage in his office at WWE Smackdown at Madison Square Garden, and has been making heavy changes to recent WWE shows. Most of the changes have been made remotely, and have featured some advertised matches completely pulled from the show. The rumor was that Triple H and Nick Khan were planning to ask McMahon to step back from making late,...
