WIP: Mark movie poster

This was one of the victims of last month's burn-out. I should be finished with it by tomorrow I hope. I'm saving all the text for last, since I find that part tedious, and I don't want it to sour my mood before coloring, which is my favorite part of any picture. 

Story Requests? Story Contest?

Does anyone here still read my stories, or ever has? I haven't finished a story in over a year. I hate every single idea I have. I hate most of the stories I've written. I still want to write though, I just can't bring myself to do it. It makes me feel constipated, and I think it's affecting my other work. Please note that I have not watched any Overlord, so I don't know if my depiction of the character is accurate or whatever. I sometimes read a 'wiki' to learn about a character before drawing them . . . I did not do that this time.

My sister is visiting from out of town, so despite my relunctance, I did take some time off, and I hope it recharges me for the rest of the month. I think I'm making too many comics. Comics are like my meth (I've never done meth, so I'm guessing). On one hand, I love making jokes, telling quick bite-sized stories, and I think that these are what people like me for. If Mark were a Pirate . . .

This is mostly for my own amusement, please humor me. Conan the Barbarian spent a significant part of his life at sea as a pirate, particularly aboard the Tigress as a lover and first-mate to Belit, the Pirate Queen of the Black Coast. 

What if Mark and Cadence got a hold of small pirate ship for a while? What do you think the ship's name would be? Feel free to suggest anything below. I'm just looking for fun ideas, and names are important. ANY IDEAS WELCOME!

Late Late Late

Late, Late, Late! It's late. It's done though. Is it good? I'm a bit too tired to tell. I have no idea why I made the ghost look like this. I've been on pure autopilot for the last couple weeks, and I am no longer thinking about the choices I make. I am merely making choices and moving forward. I'm really hurting for good ideas. Like badly. I think that I'm braindead or something. I don't laugh at any of the ideas I have written down on my 'idea list,' and a lot of them just make me wonder if I have a mental disorder.

God, I hate Halloween. I just want it to be fucking over, and I still need to finish another Halloween themed thing. 

I'm not doing any Thanksgiving themed stuff this year. It isn't even a real holiday.

This would have been so much cooler if I had finished it yesterday. 

FYI: I haven't picked the ghosts name yet, but she'll chant it three times in the first panel.

Halloween has kind interrupted my work. I'm sitting down and getting back to it now, but I'm sad that I probably won't have my Halloween themed pictures done until after midnight, and the Mark vs Pumpkin until later.

This one got some extra-work to make up for the fact that my last one with this character went so badly. I think that was at the very peak of my burn-out. Now that this is done though, it'll probably be rare that I put this much effort into a Duke Sketch again. Except in cases where the idea is so much fun that I have to develop it.

I kinda held off on these Duke Sketches while I was going through my burnout, so I've got about six that I need to power through. Expect a few more of these to drop today. Then I'll be finishing a Halloween themed comic that'll come out on Halloween, I hope.

Finally. I've also got a 'Mark carves a pumpking with his dick' picture in the works, but it's a lot simpler than this, and should be out on Halloween.

Damn, it feels good to finally be finishing stuff again. I really should try to focus on these small one-shot adventures, and stay away from overextending myself on anything bigger, like the Ladybug comic.

Mark meets a Ga-Ga-Ga-GHOST!

This is my personally project for the month, my "Halloween" piece. It's Mark fucking a well-ghost. I'm also doing one of Mark carving a pumpking with his dick (I've drawn that before) but that one will be pretty simple. 

Does this work without dialogue? I had one small word-bubble of Mark saying "Those villagers you've been haunting finally scraped enough money together to hire me" or something like that. Another potential one-liner is "You should have stayed in the well this year, slut!"...

Duke Sketch

Request for an OC bent over and looking curious about something (I'm not sure of 'curiosity' was the emotion I captured or not). I really appreciate how simple the request was, and the OC is very cute. I still feel like this piece is lacking something though, like I missed some sort of opportunity to make this more interesting than it is. I've been missing the target all month. Everything I start ends up being messy, or boring, or not funny.

I don't know. The last poll went so badly that I don't know. Either we try the Venom thing again, or we do something of Soulcalibur. I'm intentionally leaving Tira off of the list since I really hate her character design (she looks like she was designed by the 'random' button in character-creation). In fact, I'm boiling the Soulcalibur vote down to just Ivy and Taki. I can't remember any of the other characters for some reason. Except for Sophitia, but I based Cadence on Sophitia, so drawing her...

Had a huge vote for which female Marvel character gets 'venomized.' The idea was to draw her getting taken over by Venom, and then we see what her venom-form would be. Like, imagine Squirrel Girl with a venom-tail. Unfortunately, X-23 won the vote, a character so boring that she's actually hard to draw. I don't even know what her personality is. I don't think she has one. The only time she was even interesting was in the movie, and there she was more of a plot-device than a character. She's lite...

Halloween WIP

Here's a WIP of what is/was/maybe going to be my 'Halloweeen' thing. I hate it. I'm so fucking bored of it that I stopped before I even finished the line-art. You can see it though. You get the 'joke.' Haha. Mom embarrass her daughter. It's not even that sexy, and for some reason the hands in this are uglier than my normal hands. I think this one is getting scraped. 

I'll replace it with another poll. I simpler poll. I need to stop making comics. 

Another Halloween WIP

I think I'm going to be handing out candy this year, but I'm trying to arrange a movie-night just out a desperate and pathetic need to feel like I'm doing something for the holiday, but unfortunately by very short list of friends all have regular jobs with no time off for a fake holiday like Halloween, so . . . Boring. 

Cadence's Cultural Appropriation

Oh my God, I finally finished something, and it only took me a week longer than I thought it would (I've been super-fucking-slow since last week's burnout). I think it looks good. The humor is a bit tired, but that's who I am as a guy. 'A bit tired.'
