Low key exposure sunset
Nice right? ;)

The sun shortly shining in between two cloud layers during sunrise.
2024-09-29 10:00:02 +0000 UTC View PostThe amount of negativity was something I didn't prepare for. For now, the video is offline. I could upload it here eventually.
Perhaps many viewers didn't watch until the end (in that AI icon video) but I really believed I made clear points about the problems that AI brings, as well as the entertaining part of it (which in itself is the one of the problems). It was an enormous amount of work to make but because it's AI people think it wasn't.

Very different again :) Shot last week.. (See Lazy Posy video: https://youtu.be/MqDKKfaJCzU )

It looked like nothing was going to happen, but quite a while after an invisible sunset with an all gray cloudy sky, sunlight behind the horizon gave some red afterglow after all.

Two ships completely covering the horizon in the shot makes it feel quite cinematic and post-apocalyptic.

A slit at the horizon + clean air = bright orange :-)

I believe this was 2016, yet it's still one of the most crisp sunsets I've captured. Almost no turbulence but still distortions.

If the sun disappears behind clouds before it sets, there's always the beach to capture... After bad stormy weather there are much less footprints in the sand making it look like 'nowhere''.

Except, in this shot you only see a part of the tiny tube where the gas is released from... It's a focus stack and I'm now officially working on a video with lovely 'microscopic focus pulls' of everyday objects.. (including some fruits)
It's been too long again since the last (main channel) video but the good news is that I'm working on various projects at the same time. The bad news is that I should really learn to finish a project before starting the next... 🙄
But now as high quality still...

A sunset afterglow looking from the dunes to the beach, as I've taken them often. The 12mm shot (aps-c sensor) captures the dramatic streaks quite well.
2024-08-18 10:00:03 +0000 UTC View PostThis might be interesting to skip through for those who are in to photography. I added the final tiff and raw file as attachments, because why not.. ;-)

This is an extreme macro of a ballpoint, without focus stacking... The area in focus is incredibly thin. Closing the aperture any bit will make the part that is in focus less sharp. It is a test shot with that Mitutoyo microscope lens. Should I try making a complete video with everyday objects like this? ðŸ˜

This is probably the least visible sunset (apart from not visible) that I captured...

Not a sunset, not even nature, but something different. Ever since they placed wind turbines 'in our backyards' I have a good view on them, which I despise, but in rare occasions mist/fog occludes them... When the mist clears, it can look rather pretty, like here. (Shot in 2022 on two different dates)

Here are two stills of 'another delayed' project... 🙄 Playing with bokeh in a 'design appreciation' video of an old netbook.

This one was shot in 2006, even before DSLR's could film :-)

An airplane flew through this 'fragile' cloud layer, which broke it up. Shot in July 2022.

A picture of a project I've been working on for two years but it's quite hard to get nice shots... Also the light isn't completely invisible which was the original plan. Not sure when this video will happen but I don't have enough nice shots yet...
Psssh! Don't ask how, it's "a secret". But you're free to guess of course ðŸ˜

This one had actually quite similar conditions to the one of 2 days later, that I made that Lazy Posy video about a while back.
