(NSFW) Sunday morning

Nothing better than sliding into a bed made with fresh sheets, next to the person you love the most. Well… maybe one thing.

I like that if you stand wayyy back this looks pretty legit, lighting-wise. I’m working on overcoming my hatred of backgrounds. I’m very happy with this one. And man, I really want this for them — not the fooling around, necessarily, but that level of comfort and closeness and affection. It’s what they deserve, damn it!

On the menu for September

Our favorite angel on Twitter, Mr. Fell, once recommended a hot toddy, and you know sometimes you can get real fancy with ‘em. He is fond of pears, after all. Almost makes me wish I drank!

Last month was very slow going for me, and I can’t figure why. I was a little sick for a while there, and my boy was home from school, so I guess that does make sense. Hoping September will be more productive!

Ice cake

Usually when I draw Hawaii, I reference an actual place, but this was all just fudged. But there are lots of places where you see the velvety green mountains right there, close as a kiss.

When I was little, I wanted everything in a triple-threat of pink, purple and blue. (Should I have known then I was bi?) I would have killed for this outfit at age 8, instead my parents dressed me like a little Howdy Doody with a ginger mini ‘fro. Don’t let your dreams be dreams.

I’ve spent the last few days under the weather, but I’m still gettin’ some art in! This is my attempt at a Studio Ghibli-style background, which is uh, way above my skill set, but we aim to improve at all times! I still have to figure out how to put in a couple houses going into the valley. Looking forward to coloring her outfit. Pink jelly shoes!

(WIP) Little drink carton charm

At my neighborhood Foodland Farms, they have this row of delicious local favorite drinks. I instantly wanted to design some cartons for some of them and make some little charms or stickers. I’ll die mad that they have all the colors of the rainbow, but didn’t arrange them in rainbow order. That’s my special fixation, so I’ll make all the rainbow colors. What do you think?

This was gonna be simple, but the summer vibe took me. It’s sort of an old school thing now, but in Hawaii you used to get ice cake, which is like a homemade popsicle in a cup. Go to tutu’s house and get you some ice cake. And realizing that not only is ice cake a strictly Hawaii thing, but that apparently kids in the UK do not typically do lemonade stands or sell aguas frescas or popsicles for pocket money, hey I guess the lads are visiting Hawaii again. Taking the plants for a walk!

FINALLY this bad boy is COLORED. It only took me a thousand years because my pencil sharpener had a traguc fall down a staircase, but it's done and it's pretty cute. Rarely do I exaggerate their height difference so much, but maybe I'll do it more because I honestly love it.

I'll draw the name of one of my Lucky Cats or Nazars to get this original in the mail, plus the last paper piece I did because I plum forgot to do that too. Keep your eyeballs out for it!

Intrusive gay thoughts frog

My husband told me something while I was half-awake, and all I remember was him saying “intrusive gay thoughts”. I don’t think he’s ever been so excited about something I’ve drawn. I think I’m going to make stickers out of this, maybe magnets or something! What do you think?

Six characters meme (2/6)

My friend and major inspiration Martina Huni is doing this six characters thing, and I’ve kind of always wanted to do it, but just with whatever I’ve been watching, which isn’t very much lately. Been too long since I drew shibari! Been too long since I’ve done any smut at all, about time. Just really in the mood for all the bells and bows. I like to think Aziraphale takes great pleasure in prettying up his demon while he takes them apart.

This was sort of quick and dirty, but that feels, I dunno, appropriate 😅

Listen… I know this is low-hanging fruit. It’s a cheap shot. It’s not hard to make somebody look good in an outfit like this, and not hard to make Crowley look good in anything. Sometimes you just want to do a crowd pleaser. And baby, this one’s a crowd *pleaser*.

I really like seeing Crowley in regular glasses, but it’s not his style to wear the, for no reason. I’m only gonna put the gray (shaded) version on social media, but what’s your favorite?

Here's the coloring page for you honeybees! I wanted to include an example of how I distributed the stripes, because I wanted folks to be able to put in whatever flag they like, but I know it's hard to determine what goes where. Even this is just pure guesswork. Also I realized the Philly Pride flag has the brown and black stripes alongside the rainbow and not in the triangle, so I have to redo this all anyway but STILL, HERE YOU GO ❤️

Something sweet for Pride! Aziraphale will be shielding Crowley with a Philly pride flag, and I, god willing, will figure out how to draw Crowley’s hands. This will be a coloring page for Ladybirds and up!

Happy Pride, honeybees! I hope this month is full of joy for you! Crowley’s starting the summer off right with some cherries to match their red coif. Delish!

I dropped the ball last month and just wasn’t able to offer much art after going to help my dad move, so my goal this month is to do all that I can. I haven’t got anything in particular on deck, but we’ll have some fun.

Nazars will get a special square postcard of the record shop piece, which I’m excited about!

Blue In Green (Record Shop)

At last! It is DONE. Procreate timelapse tells me this is the most amount of time I have spent on a single piece, and I believe it. I manually painted all the album covers except Hozier, because to HECK with that.

(Original) Coyote alabrije

I found this little wooden coyote at the thrift store and painted him! I’ve always loved alabrijes, and used to paint my furniture in the same style when I was a kid. This guy I gave to a loved one, but I think I’ll make more if I find some other cute figures at the thrift shop!

(WIP) Record shop

Firstly, thank you all for being so patient with me. I just got back from helping my dad move into his new apartment after surgery, and it was an incredibly exhausting trip. I brought my iPad hoping to draw while I was there, but I didn’t even have time to check messages. I’m fighting jet lag, but I’m back to work on art.
