Concept Art - Royal Reef Resort & New Level

Hey Patrons!

Have some quick thumbnail concepts I did for two upcoming levels: Royal Reef Resort, an indoor waterpark level, and an unnamed Dungeons and Dragons/ Table-top themed level!

February Patreon Update

Hey Patrons! We've been REALLY busy this month, so here's a quick update on what's been going on.

Since our vertical slice is done, we've decided to do a couple things.

Vertical Slice Complete

I'm glad to say that the Rad Venture Vertical Slice is complete!

We just have a few more bugs to iron out, but we should be uploading a new build by tomorrow or later this week!

For what's next, we've got a list of Publisher we're interested in and we might also look into crowdfunding if we feel that is necessary.

We'll also be taking a look at applying for a few grants.

Town Hall Concept and Model Progress

Hey guys! This week we started working on the first of the hero buildings in Vistabell, Town Hall and the clock tower! It's starting to come together with its base mesh and should be done sometime this week or next. The clock face is even hand-painted!

The design is inspired by the clock tower in Kiki's Delivery Service and the Collegiate Santa Maria Maddalena tower thingy in Atrani, Italy.

Vistabell Building Progress

Hey Patrons!

We've been working hard making more buildings in Vistabell! We're almost done, there's only a few sections left to make as well as hero buildings (town call, cafe, tall buildings in the back/ fountain square).

Hopefully we'll have the less important building meshes done by either today or early next week.

Challenge Level Update Concept

Hey Patrons!

After having the greybox and general idea of the challenge level for a few years now, we've decided to try a different idea for it.

We're going to try and change it into a sliding/ snowboard race instead of a race on foot. Hopefully this will be a nice break from normal gameplay, if we can get it to work. The goal and stuff will remain the same, it'll still be a race to get a McGuffinite against the Chaser robot, but just on a hoverboard or something.

Vertical Slice Update

Vistabell Mesh/Props Update

A quick update to showcase some of the meshes and props being made for Vistabell.
We're really focusing on creating the city's ground pieces first before tackling the main buildings. We're also making meshes for storefronts and stuff as well as new chairs, tables, and smaller props like bottles, food, and etc. We've also made a few different types of railings.

Hopefully we'll be able to get all of the ground work in and texture it so we can move onto buildings soon.

Major Bug in Recent Build

Hey Patrons!

Not sure if any of you have played the most recent build, but by fixing the packaging error, we deleted all of the game's splines, which was a good portion of the level geometry, so stuff might look weird and levels will be impossible to complete.

We are currently working on fixing it for next month's build! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Stanley Update: Textures and Evolution

Almost done with his textures, we're also still trying to work on a shader for his hair in Unreal, so what you see now isn't what it'll look like in-engine.

Stanley Sculpt Update

I know it's been, like half a year, but I've returned to working Stanley's sculpt!

I wasn't satisfied with the face before and I took some time off to work on the NPCs and Leslie, and I came back this morning to take another crack at it and I think it turned out really good! 

The 2nd image is the before and after heads! Hopefully I can get Stanley done sometime next month!

Shiver Swamp - Glowworms & Terraces

Here's some progress on the Glow Worm room in Shiver Swamp. We've been working on the water terraces in this specific room and the glowworm effect.

We've replaced the terrace meshes we used before as they we're kinda bad for platforming (they were too deep and it was hard to jump onto them) and instead just edge-modeled new meshes and used tiling textures. We also used a shader to have water flow down the sides of the terraces. We've also started using these meshes to fill out the final...

September Update

Hey guys, since our vacation is over and we're about to get back to work, I thought I'd give you guys a quick update on a few things.

Firstly, we had a meeting last night and we discussed our future plans. We have a lot of cool stuff comin hopefully.

Shiver Swamp - Final Level Geo for Swamp

Here's a quick update on Shiver Swamp: We finished all the main level geometry for the swamp portion of the level! It was pretty much these last three rock wall thingies: the twin pillar parts and the split rock platform. We just decided to make these unique meshes instead of using a tiling texture cuz they're pretty important parts of the level, but by doing so they have 2k textures and are a little muddy, but it's not THAT noticeable, so it's fine don't complain about it.
