The work for March isn't done but it's in the works. It's time to move on to planning for April. I'll be finishing up the March Monster Madness comic pages in the first half of April and delivering some pages of the Powergirl comic later in April and possibly into May. The Captain Lo and the Bimbo Bomb Girl scripts are still being revised.

It's been a long wait but the first comic page is here! I enjoyed working on this one. Later today I'll be doing charged posts for next month. I'm still working on the Captain Lo and Bimbo Bomb Girl stories so it's likely going to be Power Girl's Bimbo Transformation story next month that gets attention. The next seven days will be spent nose to the grind stone working on Illumi and Laquadia's pages.

I'm not accustomed to management. There are lots of things for me to juggle and I'm having trouble adapting. I'm aiming to have the comic pages done by the 28th. I don't think I'll hit that mark. Chances are I'll fall short like always. Next week I should have an update for you guys on the situation of the Captain Lo story as well as some charged posts to make sure I'm not homeless next month.

Mid-month Update.

Sorry for my extended absence. Real life has been handing me my ass. I've been lacking motivation because of it. I'll throw you guys some Hot Meal sketches later today and hopefully have a comic page featuring Adult Farah up by the end of the week. This weekend I'll be hunkering down and really trying to focus.

March Monster Madness Update

Laquadia is in third place. Here's a teaser for her. There was a tie for 4th but that was broken recently. There's still time to vote. I'm going to close it later this week since only a third of the people eligible have voted. This is the final charged post for February. Expect the final products in March.

I'm working on finishing up February's pinups.

I'm giving Buttercup and Blossom's character sheet sketches the same treatment Bubble's pinup received. That should finish off what I promised for the Bimbo Bomb Girls. I'll try and have Captain Lo's character sheet done this week as well as a cover image for Powergirl's bimbo transformation comic. It's more than I charged for but it's what I promised, so I'm going to bust ass to deliver it.

Captain Lo sketches

I wanted to just throw out some ideas for outfit variety. You have your birthday suit, your galactic go-go club outfit, your EVA suit and your captain's uniform. I've changed her body up a bit. She's more statuesque and bustier, a little more playful and heroic at the same time. 

These are rough. Real rough. I've been distracted working on other sketches as well but I'm not ready to show any of those yet.

Sometimes I get an idea in my head and I don't stop until I'm done. So here's Buttercup doing a little twerk. It's not impressive and it's very simple. I'm attaching every test along the way to the final product. I actually prefer the second sketch (the one on display) with the simple shading. The rest are attached.

This is just something I threw together to make notes of some things for myself and for you.  People have mentioned her proportions are off and it's true. Lets just forego the fact that she's a cartoon and take a look at her bone structure. She's a bit over 7 heads tall which is close to normal human adult height. Blossom Bloomed!

Here's a little rough proportion/color sketch like Bubbles got. This one will get the final treatment though like the post from yesterday. I really liked the final product and I'm excited to see this one brought to that same level.

I'm interested in hearing your ideas for some trouble these three will get into. You can re-imagine villains or come up with your own concepts. I'll read over them and give feedback.

NAILED IT

Well, that's subjective but I had fun making it and love the way it turned out. Now to move on to the rest of the girls.

In unrelated news. I'm extending the creative period of each month to the first three weeks of every month rather than having it split two weeks to create and two weeks to focus on planning. I don't need two weeks to plan what I'm going to do next. You guys seem to chime in quickly on polls and comments so I don't see a reason to have two weeks for that. And having more ...

Working Out The Kinks

Yesterday was a little rough for me. I realized that I had been cutting corners when it came to creating work that people enjoyed. It was never my intention to make half ass'd work. Lots of my frustration with trying the painterly style versus the older style was in how to keep the energy present in the sketches while also creating a polished and finished look. What I ended up with was something sadly unrealized. 

So today I've spent most of the day rethinking and working on my method...

An Exploration of Style and Technique

I sent out Bubbles yesterday and was happy with it. But, I'd also like to get your take on different styles and also explain some things about them.

The original I sent out lacked line work. The lack of line work makes the character softer and warmer. Distinctions between elements are handled with crisp coloring and hard edges accompanied by subtle shading.  Line work is also tedious in my opinion. Unless it requires it, essentially tracing your work only adds time and tedium to creat...

Bubbles in the Bank

I've sent out Bubbles' character sheet as promised but Blossom and Buttercup will have to wait until later this week. I started working on all three projects, Powergirl's Transformation, The BBG character sheets and Captain Lo, all at once and jumped between them. This meant they'd all get done around the same time. Unfortunately bills show up when they show up and I had to mark something as completed to make sure I don't go into the red.
