I returned to the DMV today and...

My county is changing things. It was the last day they would allow appointments, ever, so of course their system made far too many. I got there early without one, and there went my day. I have been writing the last hour to see how far I get with the rest of the chapter, but I don't think it's going to happen. Quick Update

I'm running behind today because I had to go to the DMV to get a new driver's license because of a new state change. Yay! When I got there, their system was down, so after waiting a bit, I left. Now I have to go back again tomorrow. I'll for sure be able to get the Codename chapter up then. It's pretty far along, but not finished. It's a fun one.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. >.<

I also wanted to get you're guys opinion on Heaven's Laws. It's much different, much darker than my usual work, so I was considering publishing it under a different pen name. This way you guys, and the rest of my readers, could have an easy way to distinguish between the type of books I'm writing. Without explaining more, what are your thoughts?

I have limited time today, but I can say that I'm into the right headspace now and already getting emotional about the next stage in the story. Quick Update - Codename Chapters

I just wanted to let everyone know how things are coming, which are good. :D The first chapter should be up either tomorrow or the next day. I have a lot of ideas about the early chapters, and I'm trying to figure out what is necessary, and what might just be extra fluff. If I end up writing anything I won't include in the actual book though, I'll be sure to post it.

Author Update

After spending some time with my editor on Heaven's Laws, and because of the amount of time it's still taking, I'm going to try to begin writing Codename: Freedom during the editing process.

I don't generally work on more than one thing at a time, just because it's never worked for me. But this time, I'm going a day or two between updates from my editor, so between edits and my readthroughs, I'm going to try to use the extra time writing Codename.

Instead of two weeks to get Heaven's Laws back to me, my editor finally got it back to me this week, four weeks late. Not only that, I haven't even gotten the entire book back yet. The good news is, editing is actually underway. As for the timetable, I'm still waiting to see how long the rest of it will take. I'll let you guys know as I get updates.

So there's been another delay. Not sure why I even thought it would be possible to get the editing back within two weeks. Hehe. Update - Heaven's Laws

Just a quick update really. All the recent chapters from 70-78 have been updated with cleaner and updated version. Only 79 remains needing work.

Chao's arc with his blending of Sound with Fire and later Space has been updated. I think I've successfully left room for some mystery as to exactly how it works while making it reasonable within our current knowledge of the Laws and how they work. Also its much clearer.

This update is really past due. I was hoping to have things settled sooner, which is why I waited. The culprit was taxes. I waited longer than I should have, but everything is all set.

The next chapter should be up tomorrow. I have to have two. One is almost finished, but it's setting up much of what's to come, so I'm going to go over it again in the morning.

Quick Update

I injured my hand yesterday and it was throbbing this morning, but the swelling has gone down, so I've gotten some work done. It looks like I should be able to return to writing in the morning, no problem. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Also, we celebrated my son's birthday on Sunday, so everything should be getting back to normal tomorrow.

Here's a quick update on the cover for Prodigies. The wrapping around of the tail has only gone so-so. What do you guys think of this version? Anything catch your attention?

I'm going to request more feather's on the head. Someone mentioned the phoenix looking like a crow, and even though the blue looks better in this version, it's still a little off.

Underworld Release

The release for book 6 in the Underworld series has been going strong. Six books in and the series hasn't declined, which is huge. As a matter of fact, Scorching Sun reached 100 and 200 reviews faster than any of my other books. It's also still rated at 4.9 out of 5. :D
