Update

Hi all! A bit of bad news and some silver lining to hopefully balance it out.

First, the bad news: I've lost my job recently. This is hard for me as I live in a fairly high cost of living area and I'm pretty much the sole earner in my household; that said, I've got a bit of time to sort things out so it's not the end of the world, but it will impact Kinky Dungeon development so I wanted to get it out of the way.

January Roadmap (continued)

Happy New Year all, just thought I'd drop an update on progress for January.

First off, I've found an artist who's doing outfits for the standalone. This is exciting as we're finally taking steps toward a standalone game with a unique model! The downside will be less outfits to choose from, but the new model will afford much better views of the player's arms even while her elbows are bound, and in general will have a more consistent art direction with unique graphics for most restraints...

Roadmap for January

Well, it's time for resolutions... so as we all get back from vacation I'd like to lay down some groundwork for what to expect in the next few weeks.

The last few weeks have been relatively uneventful with mainly some minor balance tweaks and quality of life additions such as tooltips and extra reminders in various situations. New Saving Feature

Hi all,


I've just done some structural changes, the main thing to note is that the game saves the whole game state now, rather than just returning to the start of the floor.

For those of you reporting bugs, the save code feature in Debug Mode will get a snapshot of the current situation, which should help me with certain hard-to-repro bugs!

Mid November update

Hi all,

Im probably going to stop calling them sprints, its been more like a leisurely walk. That said, there's been a few new additions such as armor (and its cursed variants) to spice up the rewards pool and help melee builds by giving 'ablative' protection (enemies will have to take off a piece of armor before restraining you).

Im still working on metal content... its just kind of a motivation sink because every time I think about it I end up thinking about how cool high-tech...

Late Status Update + Sprint 3 info

Hi all! Hope you're enjoying the new slime spells! I neglected to give updates at the beginning of the month due to some crazy IRL happenings. Next sprint is Sprint 3 and it's going to be the Metal Goddess update.

Slime Spells~

Hi all! I finally got some work done on slime spells. Here's a list of what's currently in the game:
-3 levels of Slime Splash, which creates a bunch of slime at the target point. Replaces the original Slime spell
-Engulf: Melee +20 glue damage, creates slime
-Elastic Grip: Pulls an enemy toward you, also hitting them with any projectiles they are yanked thru
-Wall of Slime: Snares enemies that are caught within View Post

Sprint 2 Delayed... Again

Due to some real life issues I'm going to have to delay sprint 2 again. Currently shooting for... Sep. 23rd, maybe.

In the meantime, I've done some quality-of-life changes such as creating buff icons and fixing a couple of bugs.

Sprint 2 Delayed

Hi all, I've gotten myself on a side tangent that's been delaying the latest sprint, so rubbermancy stuff may have to wait another week out.

A summary of what I've been working on:

- The world generation now uses something inspired partly by Wang tiles to create the map

- There's a tile editor which allows me to easily create tiles (you can too! And can export them / import others' tiles to use ingame

Sprint 2 Planning

Hi all.  For the next 2-week sprint I haven't gotten a full list of things planned yet, but here's a couple of thoughts:

- More slime-related content, especially 'domesticated' slimes affiliated with the alchemists - Expanding the Rubbermancy spell tree, with the ability to engulf enemies, turn them into latex dolls that fight for you or simply sticky barriers, plus unlockable spells that convert slime into colored latex (requiring you to either fight or befriend the Alchemists) View Post

Hi all! I've finished Sprint 1's work items and pushed to Indev. The new things to check out are:
- Lots of new bondage spells (conjuring leather restraints)

- You can now blind and disarm enemies in addition to silencing them

- Some changes when being leashed -- low willpower makes it harder to escape a leash, and enemies will actually tether you to themselves when leashing. You'll have to struggle it off or fight back!

Hi all,
I haven't given a dev update for a while. It is the week of the 4th here in the US so I will be somewhat busy with travels, etc, but I wanted to give an update.

New Patron benefit

Hi all,

I'm looking to roll out a new patron benefit. It's not much, but the idea is that you can submit a name, an enemy type, a color (for the name), and whether or not the character spawns as a prisoner or as a free enemy.

It's just to add some spice to playthroughs while also giving patrons the recognition they deserve :)

I'm also considering doing commissions for custom sprites for these custom characters. Not sure what people are willing to pay for a 72x72px graphic ...

Roadmap for the next few days

Ive been thinking about the spell system. It seems a common complaint is that low level spells are sufficient to beat the game, and that there is no point to taking many spells as they are outclassed. There is also some redundancy-if you dont need it, spending points on both Ice Shard and Icicles feels like a waste. They both do the same thing after all, and you probably only have slots for one anyway.

My planned solution to this is two-pronged.

  • Item Crafters: Ive noticed that players tend to run huge stacks of consumables later into runs, and this makes me worried that either the game is too easy or that consumables just arent useful enough compared to the amount you get. Dev update #1

Hi all, first numbered dev update I guess :)

First off, I'm moving toward a more interactive version of the faction system. There are now dialogues that open up when you click on a neutral NPC, which currently only possess options for management (convincing them to follow you, etc). However, in the future, I'm looking to figure out ways to have friendly factions 'expect' more of you, allowing yourself to eventually fall into a submissive or a dominant position depending on your choices...

I've been making changes to the way summons / NPC allies are handled. You can click on them to bring up a context menu now.

The introduction of allies has made the game a bit easier since now you can just get a bunch of followers taking things out for you. I might be trying to figure out some tweaks or adding more situations where your followers try to tie you up. Suggestions welcome.

Feedback on new jail system

So I've updated the beta and the indev with a new jail rework. The gist of it is that now you get released after a while but you have to find keys to open the stairs with, and enemies will not only take the keys from you if they catch you but they will also attack you and put their own restraints on, although they will not leash you back into jail. There's also new voice lines, and I'm planning to add more in order to give the enemies more flavor!

Which direction do you prefer for Divine Gifts?

Divine Gifts are rewards you can get for reaching maximum 95 or more rep with a goddess. You will also be able to get them

Currently in the indev build the divine gifts are weapons like the Magic Sword, but I would like to have a special gift for each goddess that changes up gameplay and makes it worth it to go for one.
