What happens when you run an experiment so morally bankrupt it requires the entire legal system to overhaul the scientific and medical standards for ethical testing.

This is one of my favorite myths mostly for how many times it's been retold and reinterpreted. Are Persephone and Hades a hostage situation or star crossed lovers? Demeter a doting mother or over protective matron? A mixture of both???
What's your favorite take on the story?

The great battles that rocked the world, both literal and metaphorical. Which fight do you want to see a whole series on?
Siege of Yorktown: Springing the Trap
American and French forces have rendezvoused north of New York their plan, the British think, is to finally besiege and liberate the occupied city—but that is disinformation put out by Washington's spies. In fact, the American-French force under Washington and Rochambeau is cons...

I'm sorry the episode is a touch late, a plague has fallen upon my house. (Not COVID thankfully, but still :T )
I don't forget to heal Genji because of the Bystander Effect, I refuse to heal Genji because I will not follow him into death.

We've been saving this episode for a rainy day, but with the Game Jam starting tomorrow and a lot of teams trying to figure out how to wrangle several people to make a game in 72 hrs, we figured this might be the time to release it. :)
So please enjoy a bonus episode!

A small update first!
You may notice that today isn't a Thursday and that the voting deadline is a little bit different. That's because, with our production schedule, the last couple of votes have been right down to the wire for when we need the scripts prepped. So we'll be changing the topic vote & topic suggestion to be a little more flexible.
You'll still have an opportunity to suggest topics every month, but they won't be on a fixed date anymore. This will let ...

We've all needed a little vacation for a while and we've managed to twist time and space to make it work for this week. So we'll all be settling in for a little week long nap.
There won't be a new episode on Weds, but we will still be airing the 3rd Century Crisis on Saturday, which has one of my favorite parts we've ever done for a series.
Hope you all have an excellent week, and see you next Monday!

Another month & another group of recommendations! We've got theater, snacks to eat at the theater, and of course, some games that we've been enjoying in the summer heat.

There was a small mixup on the back end but the wallpapers are back! Here are the wallpapers from our series on the Iliad. Enjoy the fall of Troy with handsome Achilles, the banquet that ruined everything and Ares, getting ready to rumble.

So fun fact about this series: because of some delays on the game, we've actually had this episode ready to go for a while and it is complete & utter coincidence that we get to air it at the end of our myth series on the Iliad.
Because of that, some of the beginning material might be a bit... familiar. If you wanna skip directly to just the facts and archaeology and DIRT, you can skip to 4:28

Whew, no tie this time. Though it looked like it might have been another Baron & Cleopatra situation, eventually the Samurai just managed to slip by the Thirty Years War by 6 votes.
Thank you for voting!
Current Schedule: Third Century Crisis -> Cleopatra -> The End of the Samurai

War! What is it good for? Instead of examining the war time itself, we will examine what led to the war or how a country was transformed by it.
