We're racing to catch up to our own production schedule this week, and unfortunately we won't be able to have the Lies episode ready tomorrow for early access. (At this point, we're scrambling just to get it ready for Saturday!) There is another thing to look forward to, however, as we will have the series art ready tomorrow!

Let's say you kinda sorta maybe rebelled against the orders of the church. When the church judges its own, who do you turn to for help?

I can't describe this any more perfectly than the musicians themselves:
We started out with a single voice singing the original melody from the Oxyrhynchus Hymn--the oldest Christian song with both lyrics and musical notation. Other voices join him singing in unison, but slowly start to wander into their own melodies. Listen once more to Suleiman's theme, "The Lawgiver," in full! The motifs of the song echo those from the Hymn of Justinian, whose reign it so closely paralleled.

In the meantime, we hope you'll enjoy this slightly early access to a gameplay session Dan recently recorded with our good Extra Friend, Will Overgard. Formerly of Creative Assembly, Will was one of the people who helped make the Punic Wars series happen, and is thus partiall...

Stretching across the sea where east meets west stands a city. Byzantium. Constantinople. Istanbul. It's a city of many names and many masters, a city where empires have been made - and broken.
Though they were separated by a thousand years, Suleiman the Magnificent and Justinian I both looked out over this great city and dreamed impossible dreams. They dreamed of empires that reached as far as the horizon, of art that shone through the ages, of laws that brought disparate people toget...
