Tomorrows vid CEM3340 CORE MODULE

so like i previously said! here it is, super super bare bones. intended to not overwhelm the builder, and i will be working on add ons throughout the month which i will include on here! and some point put into a PART 2 of this video. 

but it takes about 30 mins to put together, it sounds real good. and nice and tuneful. and its only 15 components! :)

What do I build first?

CEM 3340 core module schematic

So here’s the schematic I’m going with on the video. Super simple. The simplest I could make it with a total of 15 components

I ommited a lot of the circuit as I feel it wasn’t required. For instance there was another preset Pot for high frequency tracking so it’s in tune right at the top of its playability. But in reality who plays more of a range than 4 octaves in a song? Things like this and that.

Right now it only has 1v/Oct cv in. 1 course tune and triangle and sawtoot...

After the how to build your own case and power supply the next obvious step is to build a solid voltage controlled oscillator.

So i'm going to try something a little different in this months livestream. Not only doing music and stuff, because i have a couple of cams, i'm going to modify this Furby with an outboard interface box, so it can sync to a synth or whatever, (but will also work on its own!) .

And then! ill give it away on Patreon within the next week.(same as usual no need to do anything, your Patreon pledge gets put in a excel document, and a name gets picked out, if your pledging 1 quid your name comes once...

Big Plans Big BIG BIG BIG BBBBBGGIIGG :D

So i'm Prepping for a handful of big projects at the minute, which you might have seen, i'm trying to get a couple of Furby organ sized machines done this year!

You will have seen posts recently hinting towards them somewhat!

However this is the first post about one of these machines that hopefully you will be as excited as me about! From the pictures you might get an idea what its main subject is haha.

This weeks been an interesting one. the first couple of days was spent doing groundhog day which hopefully you all shall see soon!

then i prepped and did a live score for tron, luckily i recorded it all! so im going to compile that and will put it on here too!

Nearly Complete!

Nearly done! a fair few more wires and panel for the coffin, and a smoke machine inlet/lightning. then its ready! this is part of the set for the groundhog video, which i'm shooting this Monday, hopefully you'll be able to see soon enough after! its gunna be proper back to the future, im working on making the skeletons drive my car for a part of it, thats proving difficult but ill let you know on that!

First Stream in the live place

There will be a short and sweet livestream tonight! It’s not been Long since the last one basically it’s gunna be a test to see how the setup in the new room holds up! Approximately 9PM GMT for about an hour. But same setup! Bit of a chat. A bit of music! If it’s all setup in time 😂

Monster cases for the next vid

Just built the biggest synth cases I’ve built. Tailored to fit snugly in the back of the Volvo! 1.2metres wide. And over 1 metre tall. To fit all of the live modules in! These were spurred on by the next vid. Documenting building synth cases. I’ll be editing it ASAP! And will be up this week 🙃
