My 1933 chemical formulary book has a recipe for tracer rounds. Their procedure is flat out suicide, but I made up my own modifications so I could still launch it out of a cannon.

I've put off posting the ruby laser vid for too long. :O It's been a while since I've fired it so I need to tear down the cavity and clean the optics, but it is a monster. IIRC there was about 13kJ to the flashlamp here. The electric field on the mirrors (custom made by Esco Optics) is on the order of megavolts per meter.

My video on the crazy recipes from 1933 is really starting to take off! Looks like YT likes it and is suggesting it on the side of other videos. That means I'll be doing a part 2 on the book for sure.
I recently came across this eBay listing for volumes 1-5 of the chemical formulary. Supposedly the recipes are all different in each volume. There could be enough content in these books for practically a whole series of videos, making a sort of YT show. I'm definitely considering it now, and...

I saw that there had been a massive decrease in views on my vids the past few days. Turns out YT has locked my bazooka vid!! It is locked for being "misleading". How is "laser bazooka" misleading when it is a FUCKING 200W LASER BLOWING SHIT UP????

When the hacksmith revealed his plans for building a laser bazooka, he referenced my bazooka and said that his would be more destructive. he was right (which is painful to admit!) and even though mine has higher output power, his has a much smaller beam which is great for destroying stuff.

In a recent poll I did here on Patreon there was overwhelming support for me to test out recipes in an old 1933 chemical formulary. So here it is!
Now I have to decide what I'll do next for a video. Maybe I'll finally post some ruby laser stuff.

Yo, anybody know of any particular robot toys out there that would be great with a huge laser on it? 4 years ago I modified an Attacknid hexapod robot so it had a 2W laser on it, and that was pretty hilarious. I'm looking for something with more features, like maybe smartphone control or user recognition of some sort. Any ideas would be appreciated!

This was the first 3" mortar that I ever built. It had a crappy break, but I didn't care and was just happy that it worked! This vid predates my YT channel.
Finished the power supply for my ruby laser! I modified an old electrophoresis PSU (scored for $50 on ebay :p ) by hardwiring in some capacitor charging circuits and building a couple external controllers. The power supply charges my main 1000V 21600uF flashlamp cap bank to the voltage I choose, as well as powers up my lamp ignitor circuit. A town 20 minutes from my hometown got leveled by a monster F4 tornado in the middle of November. This is the worst tornado damage that I've witnessed! Even though something like 1000 houses were destroyed, there was "only" one death. Usually damage like this is associated with much higher death tolls, but good emergency broadcasting and lots of basements helped keep people safe. I chased a storm in this same outbreak further south, but I didn't witness any tornadoes, just wind.
