Cheers to the weekend!

I am so excited that it's Friday! Although the week went by very quickly since I was traveling for part of it. But, honestly, I'm so ready to relax and get caught up. It felt like Christmas this week, as most of my gift card Christmas shopping came in!!! It's so exciting.  So, I am going to spend part of the weekend trying on all my new lingerie and negligees. Winter Cheers

This photo was taken in Munich, Germany on one of the very last days of my ski trip. It was very cold and this punch was hot and so very warming! Those of you who are familiar with Christmas Markets in Europe, I had no idea how wonderful they are. Why don't we have them in the States?! They sell all kinds of Christmas ornaments, gifts, drinks & food. It's wonderful to meander through them and look at all the magical Christmas items and delicious treats.

Feeling Good Friday

It's Friday and I'm feeling the weekend vibe for sure. There's really nothing on the schedule and it leaves my mind free. I can let my imagination go and relax. Perhaps some shopping (A girl can never have enough lingerie or stockings). I do need to sort out those drawers though.

Throwback Thursday

That time we stopped at a roadside motel. You thought it would be interesting to do retro and gritty. The tub was super cute, but talk about no room. It didn't matter because we just needed a bed and a shower. So what if it put us back a couple of hours. The lady at the desk kept giving me the eye. Did she know? She's probably seen it a thousand times from when I would have been called a dame or a tramp. I think I screamed just a little bit louder to give the old witch something to talk about...

Whiskey Wednesday

Isaac Bowman Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a Virginia bourbon that is aged in charred white oak barrels, then finished in port barrels, some that come from Virginia wineries. This combination of finishing barrels produces flavors of jam with caramel and spice notes. 

This was a wonderful Christmas gift which I really enjoyed. I shared it with some friends and it went over really well! It is very smooth and enjoyable to drink.

I don't think I'll ever get used to overcast days in Vegas. I need my sunshine back. On the positive side, I know the mountains are getting a ton of snow. The second photo is me looking up at those beautiful snow capped peaks.

Happy Friday!!! The sun has come out today and the weekend has begun. My year has started off much busier than I anticipated. I'm still trying to organize myself since the trip. Whiskey Wednesday

These are some images from my last weekend in Munich. I stayed at the lovely Sofitel Hotel. It was a beautiful French hotel that had been a very modern post office. It's always interesting to see what kind of whiskeys a hotel bar will carry and to my utter amazement they had Midleton Irish Whiskey. That warmed me right up and I needed it since dinner was a couple of blocks away in some very chilly temps. I'll talk more about this beautiful hotel in upcoming posts.

Feet folly...

A new month, a new year, and a blank slate. It always feels a bit refreshing for me. I thought I would let you in on a secret. I'm super ticklish...especially my feet and they are forever cold which makes them even more sensitive. I love them caressed and played with, but it's a quick jump to send me into fits of laughter.  Now that I've confessed that, I feel like I need to put them in a bath. 😉

From the Goldener Adler Innsbruck. Since its foundation in 1390, many drivers and merchants who were looking for rest and shelter on their journeys between Italy and Germany were welcome. The hotel restaurant sits in the middle of old town among several other beautiful buildings with an illustrious history. It has played host to kings, queens, and some of the world's elite, but don't let that fool you. It is very charming and warm. The food was delicious and paired perfectly with a great wine...

Post Christmas

How is everyone feeling today? I hope it was a wonderful Christmas weekend! I was just talking with a friend and recalling how Christmas would seem so long as a kid. Especially Christmas Eve! I couldn't wait for Christmas morning to come. And now, it seems to go by in a blink!

I was able to enjoy a good time with friends, eat yummy food and drink delicious wine and watch Sound of Music. It seemed especially appropriate this year after being in Austria. It's such a beautiful film.

Friday Festivus

Since I've been home, all I can think about is how to get back to those beautiful mountains and those beautifully decorated snowy streets. My room was in the heart of Old Town and what a dream it was. It very much filled my cup and my heart. I could definitely see it as a place to wear my stockings when it gets a touch warmer. 

The only thing that would have made it a touch better would have been a fireplace in the bedroom so we could cuddle the night aways after a beautiful day of...
