As I was trying to rush completion of my next comic, I figured out a potential solution to a long-standing problem I had.
Anytime I render something, it would prevent me from using most other software at the same time. I often would work in Blender while rendering and that created situations where I had the mesh done, but couldn't do texture work until the rendering was done.
So, what I've done is assembled another PC with older equipment that should be able to render most scenes...

This is a complete rework of an older item I made for Genesis, but now works on Genesis 8 Female.
It is broken into four pieces: suit, armbands, gloves and boots so things can be mixed and matched.
As always, I've provided the UV layouts for each piece.

Seems the month of May was a bad one. Nothing major, so no disasters, but just enough little things happening to make a mess.

Hmm. Trying to create a new pack but it's not installing files properly at all. Textures go in to the right locations but not the data and People folders. Not sure why it's not working suddenly.
Log for DIM says items were installed properly and verified and reverified the file paths.

Didn't fit these to G8M properly yet, but providing these with a few textures, a couple of which I wouldn't mind having in real life.
Poseable laces should help as they can be moved.
Maintained the same material zones
(I did notice one thing and that is normal map for some of the gloves have to be added manually. I might fix that with an updated texture pack if I ever get around to it. Seems something happened with the Substance Painter file when I upgraded my SSD.)

Boxing Gloves 2025 Alpha are the latest boxing gloves I have been working on for a while.
They are currently untextured and no normal maps are being done until two things happen:
1) I am sure the mesh works right (any changes to mesh can mess up UV maps), and
2) installation of a new SSD into my PC to get extra space.
The second is important because Substance Painter isn't liking the low disk space and I'm going to do that right after I post these.

For DAZ Studio.
This is a rather sizeable effort that took quite a while to finish. It's essentially a scene subset, where walls, ceiling and floor can be turned on and off to make camera work a heck of a lot easier.
I have to say I learned quite a few things doing this. Making it modular was worth the time and effort to part out into pieces.

Okay, so I made this years ago for Genesis 2 Female.
Coming back to it years later, I just had to rip it apart and update it.
Split into three parts: mask, suit and boots.
There are a number of material zones for colour customization, but I didn't take a chance, so I made a "default" base colour map. I remove the map and just threw up a couple different colours and it seems to work, though I never zoomed in.

In the last few weeks, aside from the holidays, I've undertaken a bunch of projects. The result will be a lot of content best described as "bits and pieces."

Made these for a tournament. Instead of making new versions, I just took the boots apart and rebuilt this so it uses the same UV map as the Golden Outfit itself.
It's confusing to see the year 2023 for this now that it's 2025.
The only potential worry is that I cloned polygons from the sides of the foot to connect the sides around the bottom of the arch to the other side. But worked quite well.

It's a nice, simple, and clean design that oozes domination. I took one of my existing masks, then did some heavy reworking of the face and openings to bring it to 3D.

Here's a rework of an older item. It's just a simple steel cage that is extended downward, has a door that can be opened or closed (via morph as I couldn't get the bone to work.
I also created face sets for all the sides, so a side can be hidden from a camera looking inside.

This was a custom request for an outfit based upon an anime episode of "Air Gear."
I tried to make it as close as possible, but some things were unclear or just looked bad, like the boots. So, this is why I used my previous version as the basis for this one. These boots are shorter to accommodate pads better. The UV maps do not match with the original boots.
As always, comes in parts: mask, armwear, top, bottom, pads and boots.

It's been a while since I posted a clothing item. This one is based upon an AI generated image I made.
Moving forward, even if it's more work, I'm going to be releasing stuff so that it can be parted out. It is quicker to work on a hero object, but that's only true if I don't make mistakes (especially UV mapping issues).

The next step in the creation of the belt is to roughly fit it to Genesis 8.
After scaling and roughly positioning the belt where it normally goes, I then used proportional editting to try and roughly wrap the belt around. I noticed that they probably aren't long enough, so I grafted another segment onto each side.
If it still isn't long enough, I will go back in and add another segment.

It is going to be in the Slam Central discord channel that subscribers have access to. It will begin at 12:00pm Eastern. Since I disconnected my microphone system from the PC and not plugged it back in, I'll have to rely on chat for the time being.
