so April has ended with MBaW! being a hairs breath away from the Patron exclusive build we've been promising. said build will definitely be done by May 14th at the latest, come hell or high water. when it is ready for your viewing eyes, I will be making a new post here for that, so be on the look out for that!

heyyo everybody! wanted to give you all a quick update at the beginning of pride month about the game.

Basically, I want it to be out before the end of the month. I don't have a hard release date planned, save for by the end of the month. It is almost complete, with Shading of all of Zack's Sprites done, and Spencer's about half done. then just everyone else's sprites getting shaded, and its good. I basically just need a good day or two to finish that. unfortunately, it seems like June ...

My Boyfriend's a Werecat! Demo Build Version 0.4

heyo again everyone!

So, here is hopefully the final pre-release demo build. next time it should be completely ready for release. All that remains for public demo is:

• Final Art pass (a lot of sprites are missing shading)
• the Sound and Music

Also of course, Editing, fixing any typos, and any bugs found in this version.

My Boyfriend's a Werecat! demo build version 2

heyo everyone!

I've got a new build of MBaW! here for you all!

Major changes/additions include:

-Added sprites for Rosa and Spencer

-touched up all the sprites for the stray cat

-Polished up the menu's

-fixed bugs found in previous version

I feel like it will be probably one more patreon exclusive version of the demo build after this one, before the demo is right and good for a public release. See you then!

Heyo Everybody! Sorry for the radio silence for like a month. I didn't feel right making another post or two basically saying "yeah, its not done yet. I'm still going despite being behind schedule. Time is an illusion" etc. So I kind of just didn't.

Additionally, i was hoping to release this on a fun day like Pi Day, or even the Ides of March, but hey, its Saint Patrick's day, right so whatever.

Neko Effect: Your Affections

Yosuke had already been nervous when he also came down with the strange "Neko" status effect from that strange shadow. He had taken over for his partner  as leader of the Investigation Team to find a cure for the condition, after Yu entering the TV world drastically sped up the catifying effects. But after days of hunting the strange Cat shadow that did it, all he walked away with was getting cursed himself before the slippery creature ran away again!

hey everybody! quick update on progress for MBaW! I was hoping to have the demo ready for you all by valentines, but work decided "nah fam" and I didn't make nearly as much progress as I wanted to. about 60% of the art needed when i last posted is complete, but there is still a few more, plus then actually testing the game once more that is functions properly. I really hope it'll be done before February, but we'll see...

Heyo everybody! I just wanted to make a quick update on the progress of the My Boyfriend's a Werecat! demo. 

basically, the tech needed for the demo is mainly wrapped up, and i am moving onto getting the remaining art in the game for the demo. from there, it'll be some quick internal playtests on my end, to make sure the game doesn't definitely break playing thru, then I'll be posting up the Patreon exclusive proto-demo for you all!

The Price You Pay

Yosuke Hanamura, hit with the rare and mysterious Neko status effect while battling shadows in the TV world, seems to have followed him outside the TV. With no way to seemingly remove the effect, He's having to adjust living as a cat-boy while the rest of the Investigation Team look for a cure.

now, I headcanon Yosuke as someone who actually takes time & energy into his appearance, and the new facial hair he has (both the whiskers, and his more fur like side burns) irk...

Mid January update

heyo everyone! January is half over, and mentioned in the first week that I'd be posting a sort of Timeline for the development of My Boyfriend's a Werecat! well, I half forgot that, half haven't much time to really sit and plan out projected deadlines and goals beyond the most immediate.

I say that, but Spencer would actually be really uncomfortable thinking of Zack as a pet, which he kind of becomes when he gets like this. Spencer in general has some complicated feelings over his boyfriend's condition. (if only he wasn't so cute)

Zack, the distractable Were-cat

Zack's mental state as he transforms varies. best described as  "Becoming himself, as a cat" it is like running the same program on a different operating system. he is still himself, but he is still clearly different. most commonly are these actions which short circuit his brain past normal human rationale straight to an action like a-
