TGW Extras - Part V Cover steps + .PSD

Well, this is unusual.

For the first time ever, I'm making the PSD file available (see it above), so if you have a .psd compatible program, you can explore the PSD file in details, play with layers and whatnot, also, it's a good insight into my workflow.

TGW Part V - Page 01

Even though I'm feeling this page is a tad too "empty", I'm happy with it's results. :)

For so many positions drawn without using photo-refs and weeks after any real drawing, I think I did a pretty good job. :D

TGW Extras - Page 5-01 Preview

Did you guys notice any change?

But either way, Derek just got his mane trimmed a bit and now is ready to steal Scott's young heart~

This is a preview of the first page, and, for a change, I did not use photo-refs for this one. I also changed slightly the whole template and layout for pages, that way, frames borders are thinner, speech balloons borders are thinner as well. Other than that, not much changed really.

Golden Week Part V outlines (!!spoilers!!)

Yes! It's time to begin the 5th chapter (out of seven) on the Golden Week saga.

This method I somewhat used for the 3rd and 4th part, but it was somewhat inacurate, because I changed things (a lot) with time, but having a initial outline really helps, so I decided to apply it to this part as well, but also use the page scripts, which resembles more closely the process behind more famous comics, but which is also way more time consuming.

TGW Part 5 - Cover Preview

Tomorrow I'll begin my forced vacations, where I'll be going to my parent's house for a couple weeks and a half. During that period, I won't be able to work on practical comic things (scripting however...).

Photo-ref Monday #07

I finally figured a good layout for photo-refs!

Also, in this last page, I tried using more neutral poses, unlike those other pages.

Something noteworthy too, is that I only used refs for these 4 poses, the frames with only Derek's bust and face close-up didn't needed refs.

TGW Part 4 - Page 40 (Part 4 Finale)

It has been an amazing year, thank you all for your continued support and bearing me and my malaises.

I'll be taking a forced three weeks break (visiting family and whatnot) and on the 27th, the comic shall resume. I'll try and keep posting updates in the mean time, but other than that, we'll be going through a few weeks without updates.

Photo-Ref Monday #06

This time, with less photo-refs, because if I post too much, Patreon cramps them and they get so small that you lose most detail.

These were the ones I spent most time with. Getting not just the body right (it was hard to get Maria right in the first one) but the expressions too, took me a long while, but I managed.

I also find it very hard to keep the consistency alright when doing front poses and side poses, but, once again, I managed. |D

Also! I got a haircut! :D

Page 38 only had referenced poses.

Once again, you can see how my imagination flies wildly through the creative process of the comic. All I reference is the position of the body, then off I go with adapting a whole anthro body to it, redoing all clothes and whatnot.

In fact, I only realized I had a rather loose pant on when I began drawing Derek with his social pants and noticed that his pants' pocket should NOT stretch that low.

But hopefully, no one will ponder too mu...

TGW Part 4 - Page 38

Which can get rather confusing.

But nevermind that, Derek just looks too handsome in the last frame!! *o*

Execept for the last frame, I photo-ref'ed all poses in page 37.

The top one was a composition between three separate photos, I tried resizing them to achieve an actual depth perception.

And bellow, my favorite refs for Maria and Nikki.

The coolest part is where I need to change the proportions to suit a female body and magically add clothes on top of it. :P

Other than that, I belive I did good with those. :D

For page 34, I used a lot of photos to draw both Derek and Scott.

Fun fact: I used the ref only for the upper torso (mainly the arms), I drew the legs from head. And I wasn't wearing a dress shirt, so the sleeves might have looked somewhat off.

Patron Free Art Raffle

Hey everyone. I'll be brief.

I want to thank you all for your continued support and whatnot, and for that I'll be randomly making a drawing of a Patron per one or two weeks, I'm not sure about how often this will be yet.

For this new drawing I've made, I've also used photo refs.

I needed hands holding pliers and a focused look.

Since I take photos from very close ('cause my webcam insists on taking photos on the lowest resolution possible) and build up refs from a lot of photos, I had to redraw most of the body and positioned everything differently (head is higher, body is longer, legs are a whole different matter, etc.).

In the end, it looked awfully dar...

Fraudulent Patrons (Fake Spammers)

Hey everyone!

During the second half of the last month, I got a lot of new pledges! All of them in the value of 25$ (the highest tier for a reward you can currently pledge). Problem is, most of them were Declined. That means that the credit card was invalid or something of the sort.

There are still two pledges that have the 'pending' status, so, I'm waiting until the payment period ends (from the 1st through the 5th) to make sure if they too will be declined.

Aside a few layout errors here and there, I think this page came out well. A fucking migraine determined to make my week miserable, and in turn, I did this page in the slowest pacing possible, but it's here now.

So, this next page has this scene with Derek rushing out of his chair.

How do you illustrate such a pose? I never drew it before, and there aren't many references of THAT in the internet. So yeah, I had to take my own photos and reference them.

I think it worked out okay. :)
