Nexus Event - Chapter 5

The main continuity chapter of Industrious is still being worked on, I hope to have it out by Wednesday.  As a teaser, it features Nohara Rin finally appearing and it's turned out to be a bit difficult for me to get into her head.  So I ended up trashing part of what I'd written so far and am reworking the chapter as it stands now.

In the meantime, here's a double-length chapter of this.  Oh, and I've include a partial build at the end of the chapter for those interested....

Industrious: Engineering Marvels

One of the spin-offs that I was planning to get out... checks calendar... last month.  Oh boy, that rewrite and the hiatus really put me behind on this one.  Anyway, have fun with it.  The next chapter of the main story is proving a little frustrating.  I should have it out either over the weekend or early next week.

Winning Peace - Chapter 13

Not too much to say, other than the appearance of a probably-recurring character and possible love interest.  It's about time for that.

Otherwise, look for another chapter of Industrious later this week and, uh... something else?  Maybe?  Part of me still wants to write more Nexus Event, but I might end up doing a chapter of Speedrun or Where Your God Is.

Industrious - Chapter 39 & 40 Rebuild

Well, that's over 7k words done and oh my god I like this new chapter so much more than the old one.

It's just amazing what a good break from a story can do for my motivation.  It's like night and day.

Winning Peace - Chapter 11

So, here's what my life has been like for the past 48 hours.  Thursday night had a massive storm change direction and intensify with very little warning, so I had to get out at 1AM to drag in lawn furniture so it wouldn't get blown away by 80-90mph (up to 145kph) winds.  After the storm hit, it knocked out power in the first hour.  Yesterday, I got up to find that a dozen power poles had been snapped lie twigs on the street outside my subdivision and 3/4's of my city was withou...

Where Your God Is - Chapter 4

Okay, this one's done.  Here's Argo's introduction featuring a flashback from the Beta and Kirito and Argo meeting up in the present day.  This is somewhat filler, but it's some good establishing shots for Kirito and Argo's interactions and character.  Which is very necessary, I think.

Alright, just a bit later than I wanted it out, but it's done.  I've got 2-3 more chapters in this arc before the hiatus kicks in.  I might try to get out a few side-stories for Industrious next month to keep interest up and let people who really enjoy this story have something to tide them over.

I anticipate getting to the end of this arc, which should be around chapter 40/41 by the end of the month.  This will leave things off on a good note, not a cliffhanger, while I put this story on hiatus next month.  Just for one month.  I've been writing Industrious for a solid half-year at this point and I need some time to sketch out the next couple of arcs before committing to stuff in the future.
