Pelvic translation techniques can help with both posture and edema. Everyone has a pelvic translation that they develop in there youth. It is worsened from either sitting or standing the wrong way for years. Check with your chiropractor which way your pelvis translates, tilts, or rotates so they can help you balance it and reduce the tension pulling at the lumbar spine!

This is just my observations and theories from many years of treating patients. The android pelvis tends to be more capable of providing balance to the lumbar spine when weight is applied evenly to both legs. It is narrower and taller than the gynaecoid pelvis which is wider and more oval in shape. Just my opinion here - take it for what you will. The trick is not sunscreen ( I haven't applied sunscreen in years), it is not to BURN. Tight hamstrings can alter the tilt of the pelvis, causing increased strain on the lower back muscles and ligaments. By stretching the hamstrings, you can help to restore a more neutral pelvic position, reducing strain on the lower back. REMEMBER!
