Last night I had a sudden inspiration but I was already in bed so I sketched it out super fast and sloppy to save the idea for later.

the public and watermarked version of damian's newly updated ref. from the original ref I left only the bottom right headshot and the middle bottom wing views and tongues. Everything else was redrawn from scratch, the front and back pose, the 4 poses to the right of that and the grumpy sideview headshot.

also made sure to draw the correct southern shaped head and I gave him a new tailtip.

Xanalius ref/doodles

absolutely was unwilling to lose out on the glorious colors I came up with for another character, so I turned said colors into a tribute character for Zhaan of farscape. Xanalius was an oc male I came up with woooo when I was a child. in 1999, I thought spelling Zhaan as Xan was more cool lol, and thus iteration 1 was born. he was originally a black dragon black phoenix hybrid magical character but the origin of the name was ofc, farscape and so a modern Xan as blue seemed very fitting.

I was trying a new [old] style where I speed airbrush and then just sketch the lineart in after the fact. last time I did that style was in 2007/2008 using SAI. it's much more annoying in csp cuz you cant blend lineart like you can in sai

Despite the foul mood that she wore like a cloak, when Ezrael heard the distant tapping of claws on the metallic floor she swiveled an ear in the direction. As quickly as her eyes fell on him, the red bled from her bio-mechanical irises and the cool golden hue of Sirius's own eye color filled hers, deflating the rage that had been building over the course of hours.

as someone who hates children and the thought of them and also everything about thw twins including how I was forced to make them by shit ppl I have made the following changes:

Tethys still belongs to chibi

Unnamed twin of Tethys formerly "Calypso" now belongs to Lunardian

The following changes have been made: the AU reality where the twins were Ezrael's offspring has been deleted. Alaric has been deleted. No further mentioning of any relation to Ezrael exists....

yeah uh, I literally redrew the entire picture. :I and I had to do it in SAI because when I drew the original of this in 2k18 I was still using SAI not CSP.

um, yeah. I love the tone now, instead of r*pey it's consensual romantic foreplay.

Improvements [old art redux]

I have a boatload of trauma from 2018-2022 and rather than swallowing it continuously every time I go to repost old art that I spent, let's face it, HOURS on...I have opted to revamp old pieces by removing rapists and evil fuckers I no longer interact with at all from my art.

Perhaps my most ambitious scene yet

After the slogs of the books, I needed such a mental break. And in my case, yes, drawing other ppls characters or ones I don't consider "mine" but rather owned by "the story" is a great way to unload mental clutter.

The first pass of the flats is finally done, everyone is officially colored in, next I'll be setting them properly into the environments and then eventually shading.

My choices for characters were entirely my own, no one paid or voted or anything to get "...

dance scene

one of my resketch passes through this part of the huge 3 monitor sized scene.

these are all estharan veil, they're the largely nomadic species of veil that passed on those such traits in their tropic abyss offspring. both estharan veil and tropic abyss are based off of the romani people of which I have dna ancestry and a fondness for.
