I did a relatively quick sketch today before continuing the work on the next illustration for you guys. It's just a character standing there without anything interesting happening, so it's one of those comfortable drawings where I don't challenge myself much. Just wanted to do a bit of fun doodling. :)

I recommend not worrying too much about how polished the thumbnails look. Some of them are drawn a bit more rough than others, but they would all end up with the same level of polish once they're illustrated. So consider the subject and its potential instead. :)

Hey everyone! How are you guys doing? :) Here's what I've been making this month! This one was a little bit tricky, as I expected it to be. The perspective and foreshortening going on here wasn't very easy. I think it turned out okay though. :)
I'm trying to be a bit more bold with the fog effects here to set the scene's atmosphere, as well as bringing focus away from the background details and onto the characters. It's something I want to try to do more.

I finally finished this one. I hope you like it! I've attached the alternate version without the goop as well.
I tried to keep the color palette fairly limited in this one, and I think it worked out pretty well! Sometimes I do go a bit overboard with different colors, without considering carefully enough if they create a nice complementary contrast or color triad or something like that, and I just do what feels nice. I guess a lot of art is about making what feels nice, but it's also a good id...

Hey! I did a bit of practice today. It's not the pretties thing I've painted, but you guys have shown interest in rougher paintings as well, so I figured you'd want to see it. :)
It's a study of a photo that I then doodled a bit more on top of. I did a study of her face in just values, and then improvised the colors and some more features and details on top.

Hello! Here's this month's picture! While tentacles aren't at the top of my list of interests, I was happy to make this one, because their swirly shapes are fun to draw and can make interesting compositions in a painting! Finally finished this one! Why the dude turned out kind of night elfy is something I can't give a good answer to, haha. The color just seemed like a nice fit at the time.
You might also notice that I'm still trying to make myself more comfortable with textured strokes, especially on the environment there. I like how it creates a level of detail that is difficult to achieve as quickly with a round brush. I'll definitely have to practice it more before I'm entirely comfortable with it, but I fee...

Hello! Here's the latest picture I've been working on. I was hoping I'd get two pictures done this month, but this one took a bit longer than I wanted it to, so I might not. But! The next one is in progress, so we'll see. :)
Drawing environments like this isn't something I'm very used to, so it wasn't as straight forward as I had hoped it would be. I definitely need more practice with custom brushes and textures and all that stuff to make environment painting easier. I hope you like it though!...
